Just curious to know...
Why have we gone back and forth with group payouts? It was fine the way it was. Nothing is TOO expensive, and any player could make credits easily if they wanted to... Then it changed so that the payout was split between the entire group... And it seemed 2 or 3 days later, it went back to the way groups were originally. Now, the payout has been set to be split among the group again?
Why was this changed 3 times?
Onto my point... People can now make money by doing nothing. All they have to do is join a group and basically stand around on the same planet everyone is on, and wait for everyone in the group to complete missions. Why should someone get paid for completinga mission they had no part of? This doesn't make any sense at all.
Are groups suppose to be more people friendly now? With the original way groups were set, it still worked if people wanted to do something together. And now, all someone has to do to make a few credits is just be in group where everyone is running their own missions. Getting paid for doing nothing sounds like a great job, doesn't it?
I agree.
Also what about the jerks that AFK macro a spawn 24/7? They earn money when they aren't even at home! Does SOE do anything about this? NO!

Gonna apologize in advance if this makes anyone angry, I get very loudmouthed when it comes to spam/spammers.

Threeother things SOE needs to fix:
- Remove combat while AFK: Macro grinding/looting/combat should be banned. Barking or tumbling is fine by me but grinding XP or earning dough while AFK is just insane.
Bah. AFK barking should be banned too. It's just the same as AFK dancing/grinding, it's just disassociated. Barking quite often generates sales, sales on their vendors gets them xp and money. By your own words, "grinding xp or earning dough while AFK is just insane."
That and it's annoying as hell. You can turn off AFK chat in options but because SOE doesn't choose to make you aware of whether or not you have an AFK tag over your head because you forgot you /afk'd earlier, that's not really helpful.
I was ecstatic the day the Devs came into town and began fighting: They killed all the AFK spammers. That was freaking awesome. Now if only we could do it, too. Maybe put a 15-30 minute timer on /duel so that if you do not click decline or dismiss the accept/decline window by pressing escape, you auto accept the duel with no negative consequences or DB. No faction loss, no player combat rating loss, no item degradation, no wounds,no DB, no faction or combat rating gain for theattacker just a nice quiet unconsciousAFK spammerwho actually has to click another onscreen button to stand back up and continue barking. Perhaps allow the character to stand back up and defend themselves if they are aggroed by a mob as they would if they would normally, refilling their HAM (or make it so auto accepting the duel only allows the attacking character to rabbit punch the AFK player, knocking them down with no HAM loss) in the process so they would have the same chances as any other AFK player that is attacked by a Mob.
If you're LD you'll be gone by then. If you've crashed, you'll LD and be gone by then, if your AFK for reasons other than spamming, grinding, etc. then there will be measures in place to protect you.
Sorry, I reeeeeeeaally hate AFK spammers (especially when they don't allow pauses, just non stop come shop messages so the moment you type anything, it's swept away in a sea of spam)

I understand the concern about grouping changes and the effect on the economy.. the new space changes will probably have a much larger effect on the economy.. we now have a npc that buys looted components for mad cash.. one hour of tier 2 space fighting and I can bring in 100-200kin mission rewards and component loot. That is solo, no risk, mad cash farming.

If I could still kill mokks and come back with several crystals and nearly a million in credits EVERY buff session, my account would not be expiring on the 24th.
BTW WoW is interesting and different. Within 1 hour you are actually doing cool stuff. No killing meatlumps for 3 days and camping the bazaar for a laser rifle or used ubese.

Why would you do that?
