Couple clarifications:
I Preordered JTL retail at a retail Gamestop.. they said they'd call when preorder CD's were in..
I was in the beta from the beta signup..
I picked up the game the 26th when it had arrived.. and asked what happened to my preorder CD.. they said i should have been given that when i preordered.. i told them i didn't they gave me one..
The preorder CD account code (back of the jewel case) is what enables the flash speeder.. once you install JTL..
The 180 day vet reward is available when JTL is added to your account (and you're past 180 consecutive days active account)
so if you preordered and never recieved a preorder (was the beta CD).. but were in teh beta.. you *should* be able to barge down to your local retailer and demand your preorder CD.. update your account with the new code and be granted the flash speeder..
*NOTE: i had updated my account with the preorder CD account code immediately before installing JTL.. so if you already have JTL installed you might be out of luck..

http://swgbetareg.station.sony.com/reg_complete.jsp
https://store.station.sony.com/swgbeta/jtl/acctkey/index.jsp <- this is the one where you enter the preorder account key located on the back of the jewel case for the JTL beta.. you MUST be signed in to your station account for this to work properly..
hope this helps clear up some confusion.. now if only i could figure out what the 90 day vet reward was supposed to be and why i'm not getting it..

Okay I work at GameStop so maybe i can help witha few of the key registration questions.
First there are a few key codes that you get
1. The Beta invite
2. The Pre Order JTL Beta/Reward (speeder)
3. Retail (when you buy the game)
1. The beta invite was something that SOE sent to you to enable you to log onto the Beta of Jump to lightspeed. It has nothing to do with the Preorder or the Retail version. Once the beta was over this code was no longer needed.
2. The pre-order Disk: If you did not recieve a Beta invite or wanted the flash speeder the Pre Order disk is what is needed. To enable your reward you click register expansion and enter the key at the bottom. Its on the back of the jewel case when you open the box. Pre Order disks are only on avaiablity, some times we run out and are no longer able to give them out. If you didnt recieve one you will have to see your local retailer to see if they have any extra's. You can register your reward item and still use it without Jtl enabled.
3. Retail: When you finally purchase your copy of Jump to Lightspeed you need to install a quick installer from the CD. once you have competed this you click on the Register expansion and go to the bottom. You will enter the code on the back of the Retail jewel case in the same field as above to enable your Jump to light speed. Once you have done this close your launch pad and then restart it up. This should enable you for jump to lightspeed.

Should I un-install my JTL beta? Since when I was invited for beta I was prompted to install the beta software as it is a seperate program in beta mode but retail will be totally merged. So should I delete all things beta and start fresh with retail?

Unfortunately, I was told by Gamestop that I needed my retail version in order to activate the Naboo speeder. Even Tiggs thought this to be the case, so I don't think I was intentionally lied to.
I could otherwise be playing JTL, but because I foolishly assumed that my pre-order would get to me by the 27th, I opted to have it shipped US postal mail, my resoning being "what difference would it make to have it overnighted if, at any rate I would have it by the live date?"
My copy won't even ship until tomorrow, and then I have to wait who knows how long before US postal service gets it to me.
Better communication could have served everyone here. Even Tiggs wasn't given the right information.

I got the flash speeder from the pre-release Gamestop key disc starting with an "A".
They shipped (yesterday) the retail version. That key starts with a "J". Thiswill beentered to enable JTL.
Silly question to SOE marketing:
If all I needed to buy was key codes why the physical disc and snail mail involvement?

As it turns out, Tiggs has the speeder thing all wrong,
All you have to do is input your JTL Pre-Order Key into the registration field for the expansion, and the next time you log in, you will have your flash speeder. No JTL Retail Key is needed.
People who registered their Pre-Order key to get into beta also already have their flash speeders on live.
It still is silly to have to enter yet another key to play in space though!!

I had enter theJTLpre-order key first and gotan error sayingthat its already been activated -- the time whenI was testing it out in beta.
Then I entered theJTL key (not beta key) and get the following error, Sorry - The consumption of this account key requires features which your subscription does not have, I hit the submit a few time and then it went through. /shrug.

This station account shows a 9/04 registration. You have an older account from April 5th?

Umm... K just decided to try Swg out again and installed the proggy since it was some time since it was last on my HD.
Installed SWG and then Installed JTL.... Can someone plz tell my why I need to download all frigging patches from the new and why the "insert profanity here" they aint included on JTL.
JTL is launced as THE FIRST UPGRADE to the system then plz ffs add the frigging files to the system so you dont have to spend 2 hours downloading it on a really bad server connection.
My Q is WHY ( dont give me that OOO it cost to much ) isnt these files included on the JTL addon??? Is it good publicity to let new users or returning users spend 1-2 hours in front on a screen while your program are patching the code???
Customer support, ya.. really...
