It could be your ISP, try the following out http://www.broadbandspeedtest.net/ if it does prove that there is nothing wrong with your pc or your internet connection then you can email the results to Sony with a bug report






I was getting this too. On a Whim, I followed the instructions on the Launch Pad for improving it. It works....However...Things look...slightly....Odd....


Hope they get it fixed so that things look better and are stable.



Also...Did I miss the part about where the Yacht cannot be painted? I understand it not being a combat ship, and not able to swap out equipment....But I am kinda tired of seeing 50 million white yachts flying around.Before you even ask...I did try painting it, used a paint kit...and nothing happened....It's still white. Is there no color pallet for the yacht?


Other then that...Only problem I have is that and the crafted component names are still getting truncated. Has been mentioned since Beta....

Ok, this makes no sense. I thought the Sorosuub Yacht was invulnerable to damage????? So, why do you need to repair it? There should also be no reason to Eject from this ship either, so, that option should be taken away from it.

nope, the Sorosuub can take damage.


Also, the pod is there for players on the ship who would like to leave without having to land the ship and take off again.

Yachts can be painted, to a point. The texture kits create various decals on your ship, which are the only things the paint kit colors. Kit 5 gave me nice curved stripes on my yacht's bow. One is colored by the primary option of the paint kit, the other is linked to the secondary. Haven't tried the other kits yet to see what they do with the yacht.







Texture Kit 1 gives the white look with no noticable paint.


Texture Kits 2-6(? i think there are 6 total) Put incressingly more color on the ship. (Disclaimer: Im not sure how this part works with all the fighters). The last texture kit almost covers it in paint. And yes lol I still need to paint mine. I would suggest buying all six texture kits and trying each one in order keeping track (with screen shots maybe) of which one you like best. Then go back and buy another kit of that type and apply it. To make a ship stand out you have to use both paint kits and texture kits. Hope this helps.

200 wounds and 100 bf (or the reverse, I forget) just to get off the ship seems... wrong. Just leave the group?

I miss daily patches from Beta...


Still saw quite a bit of rubberbanding in space last night.


My 65 something rated engine only runs at like 620 something speed. Seems independant of the chassis. This max speed number used to correlate directly in beta but got out of sync towards the end.


My ground performance went way up by disabling bump mapping and multipass redering from the launchpad (I'm in the 1GB RAM category). Almost up to pre-JtL performance levels now with my ground gfx options turned way down. Pre-JtL I played with bump mapping, multipass rendering, and gfx turned way up with similar performance.


Mission Report: Privateer T3M1 for Jabba.


  • Teamed up with a reb group member and we got it on the first try. Very cool. Was stuck here in beta.

  • Mission seemed to go on forever. Wasn't clear when it was finished vs. when one phase was finished. Some sort of overall mission progress bar would be wonderful.

  • [== ] 15% Complete.

  • [======= ] 50% Complete.

  • [=========== ] 85% Complete.

  • The transition from escort to destroy phases happend just as a newly spawned wave of escort targets came in. Add in the newly spawned destroy targets and I had 6 Tier 3 enemies for a 2222 pilot.

  • Upgraded ships from Dune Lizard to Kimogila hereafter training to 2322. The mass change from Dune Lizard to Kimogila wasn't enough to really warrant the change from L5 to L7 components. Not complaining, just reporting. Makes the Kimogila kind of a lame duck. Why get it at Tier 2 if I can get all my (upto) L5 gear in my Dune Lizard and be more maneuverable? I am still using a good performing L2 engine.

  • While the Kimogila allowed me to upgrade some components, I really should have just waited to 3322 to upgrade totier 3 ship mass (assuming it has more mass) and skipped the Tier 2 ship altogether. My reb friend held her tongue with her ~140K mass tier 1 ship while I tried to jam my 90K ship together...

From the Friday Feature of the Sorosuub Yacht:


The luxury yacht itself that will be made available to Galaxy citizens will be the pleasure model that does not have Lando's "special modifications. The ship will be invulnerable to attack, possess no weapon systems, sensor arrays, escape pods, droid brain etc.





So, if this ship cannot be attacked, how the hell does it get damaged??? If its invulnerable to attack, then that means that no damage can be dealt to it. And if it can be damaged, why does it not have shields to protect from that damage???????????

Whatever it was you guys changed the other day to improve framerate for people with 256mb of ram severely impacted users with 1 gig of ram. My framerate on my machine was a steady 30 fps 90% of the time both in space and on the ground, with at worst 25 fps in heavy lag areas.After that patch its now back to the fluctuating 14-25-9-20 fps bs. Please revert it to the way it was. If people were getting lag with 256mb of ram thats their own fault they should upgrade, ram is dirt cheap. Dont screw over the users that spent tons of cash on high end equipment to have nice visuals and High framerate.


P.S Their is nothing wrong with my system it performs perfectly on all my other games and perfomed spectacularly in swg up untill that recent patch. And no I havent changed any settings in game or out and I'm still using the newest drivers for a 9800pro.

My framerate is always 20-25 in the wild or in a player city. In big cities however, it is down to 10. When mounted or biking it's 1-5. Also since a few days pet sounds aren't working anymore.


Another problem i am having again are nasty crashes when i take a transport. I am having the jojo effect here. One update it is fixed and i don't crash, only to be crashing again on the next one.


Last but not least, when i was still in my trial, i could activate Show Detail World Objects in the options menu and saw everything enriched etc. However since publish 9 in August (?) it doesn't work anymore.


What it comes down to is:


Please fix these issuesand keepit that way! This is soooooo annoying.
