On Test Center 2, Everyone that logs in AUTOMATICALLY QUALIFIES for a visit from the Old Man!!
Prehaps I should make a musician and the after having played for a few days "/bug Old Man still have not visitem the cantina!!"
They did say he was to be found in the wilderness

Hi folks, just wanted to let you know that they've put Character Builder Terminals on TestCenter2, which let you pick the skills you want and level your character immediately to test with it.
I've heard (and the Devs are aware) that this is causing major lag in Eisley when new characters start. Many people make new characters, then crash on world loading. Just a warning.
If you're interested in testing the Entertainer parts of the new FS Quests on Dathomir, now is the time to do it. I'm going for Master Dancer/Musician/some Image Designer. I can't wait to see how this all works for Entertainers. I suggest we gather as many folks as we can get to test our new stuff. We don't want the other professions to be tested and ours is chock full of bugs.
Here's the link to it all.

Hehe, those terminals were supposed to be Super Sekrit Correspondent terminals at first. I think.Anyway, Warryyr is right, they're now available for everyone, and it's an excellent idea to use them to test our upcoming content.
NewJedi, do you know - or can you find out - ifEntertainers do in fact have some way of gaining Force Sensitivity and a Jedi if they have no Combat skills?
From what it sounds like, combat skills are required to gain entry to the Village even. Please tell me this isn't so.
- Healing
- Surveying
- Persuation
- Luck
In addition, the only types of XP that can be traded in for FS Senses XP are:
- Creature Handling XP
- Image Designer XP
- Musician XP
- Dancing XP
- Entertainer Healing XP
- Scout XP
- Survival XP
- Medical XP
- Surveying XP
- Merchant XP
So, baring the unlocking quests, it's possible for us musicians to get 2/3 of the boxes needed for Jedi (16 out of the 24 needed).
If you want to know more about XP conversions, this thread explains it pretty well.
In addition, it takes 1,225,000 XP to climb to Box 4 in one tier. That's 8,575,000 Musician/Ent Healing XP to convert over. It takes combat classes 12,250,000 XP (that's 12 million) to climb to Box 4 in one of their Tiers. And we get to have music while we grind ![]()

Warryr, a guildmate and I have been trying to test that very question. She's an artisan, and we were going to experiment by having an honor guard protect her when she's attacked by the forces of evil on her road to force-sensitivity. We wanted to see whether she had to do the combat herself, or whether others could do it on her behalf. Unfortunately, none of us has been able to get back on TC2 to test this. Last night the game kept crashing on me when I tried to load TC2, and others reported that the server was full -- capped at 1000 users.
Personally, I don't mind if the FS quests involve some danger, so long as one can enlist friends to help one overcome it. That's what I'd like to test.
Anyway, has anyone else been able to get on TC2?
I went on TC2 last night for about 3 hours and pursued some Force Sensitivity. Here's my problem with the current setup, NewJedi. The combat griefing starts when the Old Man visits you. Mind you, on TC2 this is predictable - anyone can sign up, and get a visit from the Old Man. When this goes Live, the Old Man can appear at any time. That means you'll need protection 24/7 from a combat player just IN CASE you ever get a visit from the Old Man. Once he visits you, it doesn't take long for those Siths to show up. And once they do and others kill the Siths and loot your stuff (because you can't do enough damage to them fast enough) then they spawn again when you get off of a shuttle or at random times.
I just wish some aspect of this just might not involve killing anyone. I fail to understand why they made combat a requirement to pursue Force Sensitivity. It seems like very poor planning, and at this point I'm not at all happy with how Publish 10 is shaping up. It's early, I know - but the basic mechanics are obvious, and I'm really disappointed.
Another gift to the uber grinders, another slight to non-combatants I'm afraid. Let's see - Death Watch Bunker, Corellian Corvette, Village, all very nice. Just not for me. When does MY game improve?
Oh, and as far as the hologrinders, they're not going anywhere. Think about it - you could battle your way through converting your combat xp to Force Sensitive xp, or you could just let your character toot away on his horn for a week and a half and convert entertainer healing and Musician xp. The path of least resistance and least effort WILL be taken.
Combat profession grinders will also camp the Village and the area around it, cutting down Siths as they please, while people can't complete their missions. That place is going to be one big madhouse. Dathomir will be lagged like mad. From what I'm seeing, this implementation of the quests and the FS system is very short-sided and not very practical given a Live server situation.
But what do I know, I'm just a Slitherhorn jockey so that everyone else can be Jedis.

I agree this will ruin us once again and evenworse then the hologrind did. And it will be that way for months as I don't see them fixing macros any time soon really. So we get at least 2 months of mass amounts of leet wannabe Jeed3ye camping the cantinas afk to get xp 23/7 most likely longer. But EVERYONE will do this to try and get it in and done with before they fix the macros.
*clap for devs* Thank you sooo freakin much. Now just might be the time to do something else or quit.
As much as I don't want to, I'm leaning towards the direction of quitting.
I'm going to just give in, maybe.
Why the hell am I wasting my time and money for a game when everyone else gets new content. My patience has worn out, and I haven't even played this game that long. I hate the fact that the Devs have made me consider doing this to my character and my gamestyle. And when I finally drop Entertainer, I will never forgive them. NEVER.
But, what can I say - I want to play this game and get something NEW TO DO ONCE IN AWHILE, and the only way to do it is pick up meatclod combat profession A, spam combat macro 3, and repeat while enjoying some NEW FREAKIN CONTENT.
Glad to see we're totally ignoredin Publish 10. After seeing this "new Jedi system" (see: replacing Hologrinding multiple professions to FS grinding one profession endlessly) I'm not impressed, and they've raised my anger towards them 10 fold, easily. I hate to say it, butI'm wondering if it's finallytime to abandon ship.
We're sinking, folks. Fast.
Don't fool yourselves - Publish 10 holds nothing for us, except to buff and heal people who get to enjoy new content while sit in a dark cantina and twiddle amongst ourselves.
I'm sorry for all this negativity, but this has upset me quite a bit. What a let down. What a joke. Yeah, we can convert our Music/Ent Healing xp to Force Sensitive xp, but we can't even GET to the stupid Village in the first place without being a crutch for some friendly combat players. Except that Old Man can invite us to the Village at any time we suddenly meet the criteria. This means not only do WE have to run around fully buffed at all times just in case, but we need GUARDS to run around with us fully buffed, just in case we meet the Old Man and the Siths pay a visit. If that isn't the biggest "**edit** YOU" I've gotten in a long time, I don't know what is....
Also, you can't heal Battle Fatigue in the Village anywhere (that I could find). So, in the widespreadindifference toour professions, should any lucky few of us make it into the Village, we serve no useful purpose. Except maybe to godo the Entertainer missions - WAIT, WHAT? THERE ARE NO ENTERTAINER MISSIONS IN THE VILLAGE? Well!!!!!
**edit** YOU TOO, DEVS. Thanks for all your hard work!
