Ok lets say that the dev offer a new skill tree it costs 34 character skill points to get it

you would get s few other things that arnt so great but you get a new instrument that is realy awsome and a new song !

now these 34 skill points will make it so us musicians could only do a litte more other than music

so think about it 34 skills points and the limits it would inact

well guys im about an hour more playing and I will get master entertainer!

with it I get 4 dances tht are not so good some immage design that I will hardly ever use and the awsome mandolin and the song cerimonial

but my scout tree with 15 points for novice and 14 pts for hunting 4 and level 2 terain go bye bye

my only sorce of income will be tips (ha ha ha ha ) and destroy missions with my pistol skills

long ago went my artisan skills slowwly vanishing as I made my way to musician master

I cant decide for you if its worth it to give up the 34 points that realy kick you hard lousing

all I know is even though it realy makes me limited as half my points are into a skill that gets no respect from players

I enjoy it and thats the point even if the players run in dont clap dont tip I enjoy it

but if all professions arae to be about equal and each should haev the same earning potenial then I feal that entertainer master and musician master are the third worst balanced.

the dev durring beta youed the entertainer class as the mesureing stick to use on all other professions but it seems we are onlt an inch to the others feet

well I haev to go get my mandolin cert and start playing for the people that run in heal and run out without a clap cheer tip or thank you

I am a human jutebox

ps: I tell jokes while I play change songs a lot try to realy put on an act but even then its still not enough

Your fellow musicians appreciate you.

I never have.. and never will.. understand how painting toes and applying lipstik gives you the necacary skills to play stringed instruments (skills that a master musician cannot seem to master I'll add)

I know it's not related, but it's like how a master pistoleer cannot use a scatter pistol, or how a masterDE or Architectcannot make micro sensor suites.

It's cool really, because the number of people who can play virtuoso on a mandoviol is very limited, making that extremely cool. I dunno...doesn't bother me, but of course I'd love to be able to play the mando.

Sadly I had to give up Master Entertainer, ID and Dancing cos I needed the skillpts. It was a very tough decision to make. Well, I felt I really wasn't playing the Mandoviol that much or even Ceremonial.

I'm working on this right now. I've got my master musician and am 2 image design boxes away from master entertainer. After that I'll use the rest of my skill points towards marksman skills, and give up master entertainer only if I really need to. Well, I may also train as a novice dancer for a while just so I can do poplock. It makes me ROFL everytime I see it.

I had a Force sensitive character, with 23 and a half boxes ground out.
I had a master creature handler.
I had a high lvl crafter character.
I had a Bounty Hunter that I hunted PC Jedi with.

My game is dead.

I don't know about others, but the band I play in calls Ceremonial "Zelda". If you need to ask why, pull out your Fanfar (Traz, or even Slitherhorn if you really want) and start playing.

I know you can't. Too bad. It must be some sort of mental defect. I will try and explain it for you slowly.

The Mandoviol is not a Musical Instrument. It is an Entertainment Instrument. Just because it makes pretty sounds, people think it is the domain of Musicians. If you had ever played one, you would realize that this instrument and it's flourishes are all about the "Wow Factor", and not really about the music. A skilled entertainer needs a solid grounding in all the performance arts to have the skill to put on the kind of show that is necessary where the Mando is concerned.

Painting toes isn't going to help you "play a stringed instrument". Selling spice isn't going to prevent someone from "playing a stringed instrument". But, not knowing how to apply makeup and bust a mean move means that you can't perform the neato flourishes that a Master Entertainer can.

Mandoviol not an instrument...heheheehhehehe!

Your telling a musician who can dance all over his Nalargon can't do some pickin' and grinnin' with a stringed instrument. I wan't some of what your smoking.

The rewards for ME should be reworked. It's an old story, just like Pistoleer not being able to use a Pistol that a bounty hunter can...but is of course 3x as powerfull with a BH special move. The devs were not thinking things through when designing this game.

There are other posts that people have brought up alternatives. ME's get Mandoviol and Ceremonial with a redesigned cool dance/flourish. Top it off with some nice ID features and bonuses to healing and slower action use. However, a Master of any one of the advanced entertainer professions will have access to the part of the ME reward that deals with that profession.

That will draw people to take ME and stop forcing musicians to have to waste 34 skill points just to make sure he has a full set of skills to play all the songs and instruments.
