One of today's Friday Features relates to the new Jedi system. (Leave it to NewJedi to speak of new Jedi.) It is of interest to us at least indirectly since it spells the end of Holotaining, thank goodness. But it's also of interest, I would think, to most people who play Star Wars Galaxies. Even if you don't want to be a Jedi, you may want to obtain some Force-sensitive abilities that augment your other abilities. I don't know whether those will include Force Flourish or Force Virtuoso, but who knows.

I'm not good at making links, so I've just cut-and-pasted the URL here: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Developers&message.id=32652

...These skill boxes will be "Force enhancements" that will augment their existing professional skills to simulate a fictional "Force sensitivity". For example, a player can purchase a box of Crafting Sensitivity and gain a small bonus to crafting. This simulates their character being more in tune with the Force so they may have slightly better reflexes, insights, etc. All these skills are passive and do not generate "Jedi visibility".

Ok, so will there be force sensitive entertainers? I am one with my chid horn.

I think it's a great idea to add force-sensitive enhancements to existing professions. It gives people a way to dabble in the Force without abandoning their professions altogether, and it might spice up the professions themselves. We can only hope.

In all seriousness, it's probably going to be enhanced healing and buffing (woo!) mods, with some description like "You have supernatural reflexes and can key the instruments with unnering speed and accuracy, enhancing your performance."

over all I like the new system being implimented....but doing the jedi quests don't make your unlocked character a jedi. It makes your main character the one with access to force sensitivity, and the unlocked character then has to do the quests themselves to get force sensitivity. I've done two holos but only because I lucked out and they were professions I was working on already. I supposedly will get a quicker quest for doing that, but I don't want my main to pursue jedi at all. Its the only thing I don't like about the new system. I'm sure TONS of people are EAGER for their main to become jedi's.

Shy, I'm also worried that lots of people don't want their mains to be Jedis. I myself chose my main, Ricky, on the assumption that my unlocked character would have some tougher-sounding name.

Me, I want to hang around in the cantina and use the Force to help me sell death sticks. biwan:
