So now Cornet in breach of the TOS like 23/7 ? Will they enforce that... perhaps I should stop by the cornet cantina and the mining outpost on Dantooine every so often and report it.

Unbelievable policy.

What a freaking joke that is. Now CSRs have free reign to break up large groups? No drum circles in Theed?

STARPORT JAM 7.0 Will GO ON AS PLANNED! And I'm hoping that you all show up!

If any CSR or what not shows up send them my way, since I am responsible! If I get banned then it's for the greater glory of Entertainers everywhere!

I WILL NOT stoop to people censoring me or telling me where I can and can't be and I sure as hell won't let a CSR break up an event that is supposed to be fun for us entertainers and get us out of those crappy cantinas!

I WILL NOT alter my plans for hopping starports either! Meet at the Theed Starport at the time listed!

This IS NOT a protest, this is for fun! This is for Entertainers and those who want to be entertained!

See you at the JAM!

Just think of it: prohibiting large player gatherings in a MMORPG. Maybe someone should tell these jokers what the first M in there stands for...

If a CSR ever, and I mean EVER approaches me to move a performance, they will be met with buffbot-like silence. I will NOT say a word to them. They can teleport me, kick me, whatever, but I will not say one word to whoever tries to disperse a concert or large performance.

It'll be my form of non-violent protest. There's no reason why I couldn't be off in the bathroom, or getting a drink, or playing golf (or working) and botting, since the Devs have done jack-squat about that and thus they portray to the game that THAT'S ok. Words are fine, but they mean nothing. No one cares if the Devs "don't like it." If it's in the game, and nothing is done about it, it's fair game according to the botters.

Glad my game being ruined isn't as important as others' games.

Well, who wants to get on Starsider and holda BIG concert in Theed Starport?

The CSR's could probably use a watch-through of A New Hope: "Let the Wookiee win."

It all is quite ludicrous. I played at a wedding that must have had every imperial on the entire server. The CSRs gave them transports and an ATAT to decorate their city. They were handing out badges. I have never been seen so many people in one area in this game.

Um, maybe you guys haven't heard, but Star Wars Galaxies is a Massively Multiplayer game?

Like I said, I've been at a huge gathering. I've seen much smaller gatherings where the CSRs weren't handing out badges, but teleporting people high in the sky, into dangerous areas to get killed, to 0,0 where they remain frozen, etc. The whole thing about hundreds of people gathering causing all these problems is BS.

It's just so they can use that excuse when the players are saying things they don't like.

Myt_Chicken, if I'm not mistaken at first he mentioned weddings and such. He deserves all the heat he gets for this. If it this warning wasn't meant for weddings and parties he should have had the cajones(or however you spell it) to say it was meant to silence protests.

Yeah, right. If that's what was meant in the original post, then he would have said right out, "Mass gatherings formed for the purpose of protest", not just mass gatherings. In which case, they would have just made it so that protesting ingame would be against the TOS.

What this does, is give the CSRs the authority to break up anything they 'feel' might be lag. Cantina crawls, starport waits, hell, eventheForce Village would have the CSRs teleporting people out during the first week of each new cycle.

This will NOT interfere with my music, nor my musical gatherings. The first attempt to try it will start with a harrassment report on the CSR, and will not stop until George himself if it must.

The problem is the hardware or coding. SWG is incapable of supporting a MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER game. So, fix it. Or admit to this being a failed attempt and just give us all refunds for the past year of play.

But then again, I doubt we'll see any action on this. The refuse to enforce the part of the ToS that states you may not use macros for unattended play. Why should they enforce this part?

Considering the masses do things to aggrivate these situations I'm afraid the players are mostly at fault. Right after patch 10 released Corbantis went unstable. About 100 people were stuck in the bestine starport. A CSR arrives to help and the majority of people started pulling out vehicles and pets to lag the CSR.

As long as this is seen as a funny and acceptable activity by the playerbase we leave SOE few choices. I honestly don't think they would ban a big wedding as long as you don't try to do it in the middle of coronet or theed's busiest sections. If they do then complain, but sheesh don't anticipate the worst they don't want the negative publicity from it.
