Once again, Entertainers take a serious hit.
This policy very well may affect us all.
If you're planning on a large concert, logically, move it somewhere where no one will watch you. Perform to the trees in the middle of nowhere.
If you don't think that some spiteful Combat person will /report our "mass gathering" and force it to be broken up, think again.

No way is this repressive bullsh..going to keep me from trying for the largest crowd possible at any Nebula gig on Chimaera (and yes, we have in the past been accused of causing lag, sometimes even justifiably so
)
Just think of it: prohibiting large player gatherings in a MMORPG. Maybe someone should tell these jokers what the first M in there stands for...

Not that I'm cynical or anything, but I doubt they would include massive PvP battles in this policy of which were not even mentioned in TH's post.

I think the point is that it's broad and vague enough that those enforcing it can do what ever they want. 10 people with speeders, pets, fireworks, effects and jamming in cor... well if someone complains they can now feel free to teleport you or make you stop. 20vs20 pvp somewhere and someone complains of the lag(or 1vs20 and they complain about the gathering so they can get away). Instead of having a game that can handle such things they take the easy way. Will it likely do anything to large events ? Not likely. At least till someone decides to try and grief by reporting it...

The CSRs always had the right to do this. Now they just have added legitimacy. Yeah this sucks.
I try to make it a point to be positive when I post... but this poorly worded policy (regardless of how old it is) is just plain moronic. It's a MULTIPLAYER game. If we overload your server, then get better servers. And I don't care who the policy is MEANT for... the wording is blanket and any clarifications you make should made on the policy itself, not on these boards.

*sigh*
I hope the new policy is only against the great protests. We are just planing a new idea for a concert, and I dont want only a half concert
*sits down on the ground and starts to hope*

Yeah, no need to worry about weddings and other events of special concern to entertainers. Meant to post a clarification myself earlier, but the devs beat me to it.

Much better. Focuses directly on harmful issues, and encouraging player events.
Don't say what you mean. Say what others will understand what you mean

JustG just cleared it up.
It shouldn't be a problem.
Hehe, I love it - JustG having to correct and clarify Thunderheart's announcements (who IS Community Relations Manager after all). Once again, the Dev's incompetence at communicating with their playerbase is astonishing...

Because Q retired.
TH was Q's assistant, so when Q left TH got the job.
