from http://swvault.ign.com/ Question: Will there ever be anything more for non-combat types to do? Of the 20+ dungeons and theme parts, there is almost nothing that non-combat types can do. Kirk black took the reigns on this question. First of all, there is a lot of new Entertainer quests that are on Test Center currently which are very exciting. Also, there is the Hutt Casino which is planned for implementation "eventually" that will be non-combat focused. Lastly, Kirk said that his visualization of the GCW was not just combat-related but also how non-combat types play their roles in the struggle. It is his intention to make certain that each profession, particularly the non-combat ones, have a role in the GCW.

so where exactly are these new very exciting Entertainer quests?....... are you referring to the broken Theater Manager thing?

and in the future.... it might be a good idea to tell us stuff like this before telling some reporter...

ok I just logged onto TC2 with a 0000 entertainer and went to meet this person... I talked to him and got all the way to him asking me if I was ready to audition... I answered yes then he asked if I was a Dancer or a Musician... I said Musician... then nothing.... no error, no waypoint, no anything........ maybe one needs to be a novice Musician / Dancer for it to work?

if so, the NPC should say something like "come back when you have more experience"

Is thiseven supposed to be on TC yet?

related I talked to two nobles within 5 meters of this guy that asked me if I would do a job for them.... I said yes and one gave me a musician gig and the other a dancer gig.... but the gigs were no different than our mission terminal gigs.......... 100 credits to travel 6Km and play in some cantina........... IT COSTS MORE THAN THAT TO SIMPLY TRAVEL THERE......... we did not want our mission terminals copied over to NPCs...... we need new missions and quests all together

I seriously hope there's more in store for us than what you've just described. I understand it's TC/TC2, but I'm not feeling too excited about what you just described.

It would very much fit with the disappointing understanding of our profession by the Devs, though - we get the same old useless, low paying missions, but now we get some NPC to give it to us. Let the good times roll, baby!

That whole "nothing happens when I get a Musician gig" thing is probably some broken feature, though. I would hope there'd be more to that.

Thanks for the info! I'm gonna log in my TC Entertainer and see what's up with the new stuff.

You did better than I. When I made my trip to the Theed Theater with my TC entertainer, I tried talking to the manager and I got no reply at all.

I'm willing to bet that these things are remnants of the Hutt Casino missions andso when that got pushed back to an indefinate date after JTL, they either forgot or didn't bother to remove the manager and nobles.

Random NPC entertainer missions have always been there. They are random based on what skills you have, and they are from the same database as terminial missions. The theatre manager is separate and as others have said, most likely, a remnant. Even worse it may be a tease.

Hmm, I'll try to find out more about this. Not much info coming out of the devs today, though. My guy on TC2 is in Coronet, so I'll mosey by the theater and see what's up.

Gotta love that response you got. However, seeing other responses we've gotten recently, I'm not sure they know what they are talking about.

OK on TC2 I just hit the Theed Theatre....Fragpuppie Uber-II is Master Music there. Here's what happened.

Theatre Manager- Hello there!. You're a member on the entertainer industry are you not? I've got an offer if you're interested.

TM- I'm looking for some new solo acts to perform here at the theatre. I've been scouring the city trying to find fresh new talent to put on some live shows. Would you be interested in doing a performance series?

TM- Lets not get ahead of ourselves. First you must pass an audition. We just can't have anyone getting up on stage now, can we?

TM- Excellent. Make whatever preparations you feel are necessary, andthen come back to me when you are ready to start the audition.

TM- You're here for an audition, yes? Are you ready to get started now?

TM- I see. Now, do you want to audition as a musician or a dancer?

So I try again tomorrow. Anyone else get as far?

I got to the first line above, but I never got a system message... once I respond to the first line............ nothing happens whatsoever...... I'm only 0000 ent though............... when they reroll TC2 again, I will make a master musician / master dancer and check this out again
