WOO HOO

I passed my audition.....and the next one after it.

Mission #3 tho is broke. Also, it seems that they are all broke for dancers.

The audition was simple....

Please play Starwars 1

Good now please do flourish 1

Good, now please do flourish 8

Thank you, now plese change to waltz

...flo 6

...flo 4

Thank you you're done go see the manager.

Oh and if there are no judges on stage.....they appear when you start the audition. And reapear if there are some on stage already because they do not dissappear if you fail, and dancers cannot succeed.

Mission 2 was a "get 10 ppl to listen to you" with some story in it.

Mission 3 seems to be "do a show" but the audience doesn't appear.

Also all theatres appear to be linked. I did my "audition" in Coronet, but retuned from my "advertising" and got mission 3 in Theed. I tested both theed and Coronet....neither works fro mission 3.

Note on the audition: you need to use /changemusic (or dance) or you will fail the audition, and the flourished and music is random (I did it as Novice musician and did folk and rock).

It is also currently bugged on mission2 - the people listening to you get the system message you should get so you don't know how many more have to listen to you.

Mission 3 is still bugged, you don't get a system message telling you to get on stage.

We'll keep /bugging it but the quests are getting better - they at least get this far now!

Yup, I tested this out with both a musician and a dancer today. I would also suggest having your listeners /bug the message they get so there are more reports to get noticed.

While mission 3 does not spawn an audience, and you don't get anymessage to start your performance, you also do not fail your mission if you leave the stage. In fact, you can return to the manager and she will give you the mission again.

I forgot to mention you get 500 credits for the first mission, but nothing for the second one (except tips, of course...which I got a lot of since virtually everyone there has 500k, they aren't shy about spreading around the credits )

Lol! Guess I'll stick with the 30k combat missions on dant. This sounds like the junk dealer revamp, they spend time putting something in nobody will bother with.

My guy on TC2 had to surrender his Musician skills for the Jedi test, and my Master Musician on TC is too lazy to leave his home cantina, so for now I'm relying on you guys for feedback on this. I'll try to roust my TC guy to test it this week, but in the meantime I will pass on comments in this thread to the devs.

A few things I forgot to mention.

For the second quest, you need to entertain 10 people. That, to me, seems to encourage AFK macroers to come here and ask for new macros that contain the line "I'M DOING THE NEW ENTERTAINER MISSIONS, PLEASE LISTEN TO ME!." Panthu mentioned something about the audience (possibly) getting the ability to rate the entertainer, which would be satisfactory to me--after all, I'm reasonably sure I can get a better rating than a spamming heal/buffbot. (Just to make it clear, Panthu didn't seem to think it was likely that the audience would be able to rate the entertianer, but that it could be a possibility.)

The second quest does have a reward of sorts, you acheive the popularity ranking of 1 by completing it.

It looks like entertainers are not barred from the quests, you just can't be a novice entertainer and try the music part, because you don't know two songs yet. (you need to know at least 2 songs in order to be successful with part 1)

OK so ther have been some fixes and such....I have made it to mission #5, but have yet to complete it.

Missions so far and rewards:

Mission 1- "Audition" Perform set songs and flos 500cr

Mission 2- "Advertising" Entertain (get to listen to you)10 people Popularity level 1

Mission 3- "Concert" Perform for an "audience" and attain their "approval" (rating 100?) 1000cr

Mission 4- "Advertising"....again Entertain (get to listen to you) 20 peoplePopularity level 2

Mission 5- "Concert"....again Perform for an "audience" and attain their approval (rating ???) ???

I don't know what level of approval you need.....or how to influence it. I hit 207 before 2nd failure so it may be 250.

I did 3 flos /10 sec, and changed songs often. "aproval" seemed to jump when I changed songs. Was only solo....may try grouped.

I was chatting with Mrs Frag re: these.....and she said that I should kill someone if Mission 6 is "get 30 people to listen to you". Anyone get through 5? Should I sharpen my sword?

How boring can they make new content???????

ok so the only rewards so far are 500 credits, 1000 credits and this "popularity" rating which I have no idea what that means.

20 people have to listen to you? I hope thats not at the same time, because I'll have to be tipping people and beg them to listen to my music for that.

If this is all you get as reward, Im very dissapointed. What the hell was that In-concept post on entertainer quests for anyway?

This is more of a confirmation than anything else. So far it doesn't appear that much has changed since Fragpuppie's post. There are a few things to note though.

1. System messages about how many more people need to be entertained (missions 2,4) now appear on the entertainer's computer instead of the entertainee's computer. This is so for everything except reaching popularity rating of 2 where the message still appears on the customer's side.

2. I was unable to start the fifth mission. The manager gave me the usual mindless NPC spiel. She had a hard day yadda yadda yadda. Then she finally says "Oh yes, I see, I see. Yes we do have an open slot coming up here very shortly. Are you ready to get started with your show now?"
I was given the selections "As ready as I'll ever be." "Actually I'm not quite ready yet." and "Stop Conversing"
The first choice simply made her repeat herself with the "Oh yes, I see..." part. The second makes her say "Nervous? I understand. Just come back when you're ready, and we'll get you up on stage." and the last simply closes out of her conversation altogether.

3. It is possible to log for the evening and come back the next day to entertain more people on missions 2 and 4. Your count does not reset over night, and you still receive your popularity rating.

4. Your approval rating seems to increase on mission 3 when you don't repeat the same /flo too often. I failed the first time I tried and did a combination of /flos I've learned sound good together, but it repeats /flo 5 a few times, and I noticed that after that series, my rating didn't go as high as it did when I made sure to use all the /flos without repeating them too often before changing songs. The second time I tried mission 3, I never repeated a /flo without changing songs, and I had a success...whether or not these are directly related? I have no clue, I'm going to log in with anotheravatar and see what else I can do.

Well I beat mission 5....man it was tough.

I think mission 3 you need to get an approval rating of 100

Mission 5 you need to hit 250. I did...barely. You get 13 or 14 "approval" cycles (13 plust the final "success" or "failure"). As a hint...the time says you have 2 minutes to start...start early.....as early as possible. Try to have food or be buffed. I got lucky and had the jedi padawan permabuffs to do this.

/sarcasm Oh ya those 1500 credits will serve me so well. woo...hoo.

So then I dove right into mission 6.......and whadda you know, it was the EXACT same text as mission 4 (entertain 20 people "more advertising" and the reward is popularity rating 2). Well Idid it and again with the EXACT same text as mission 5 I moved onto 7, and promptly failed. So far I've done that one 5 times, and only passed once. Its tough.

I have not seen your issue on #5, Tralmek. Each time I've tried to do it (2 on TC, 3 on TC2) its worked fine, given me a 120 second countdown and started without hitch. My final results tho leave a lot to be desired. I can only tell you the # at tick 13. I have hit 197, 207, 169, 250 (!!!), and 213. The 250 was the only one followed by "Success".

Time to wait 24 hours...see if they fix it ....and try again.

I am Master E / M / D
I just did the 2nd leg of the Entertainer Quest.
I got 12 people to listen to me.
I got system messages for 9 of those people... the last system message I got was that I need 1 more person to listen to me.
I got the people that weren't listed in the system messages to /stopl and then /listen again, but I never got a system message for those 3 people listening to me.
I stopped playing and talked to the TM... she said "Excellent Work. .... speak with me when you want to begin."
I was never informed of having reached popularity level 1 as others have claimed to have been told.
Now when I dialogue with the TM and tell her "Yes, I'm ready. Let's get this show on the road.", I get the same exact four dialogue options off of her... I keep choosing "yes, I'm read..." but it keeps showing me the same dialogue choices. I also tried all sorts of variations of combinations of the four dialogue choices as well as disconnecting, but I can not get her past the option above.
thanks very much

I am not seeing any approval ratings or popularity level notifications in any way......... Frag, from what you are saying, these sound EXTREMELY LAME, SHALLOW AND INSULTING..... oh well what did we expect?

thanks RS

This is for all popuilarity levels (well both). The final one sometimes gives the message to the listener not the performer. I have /bug ed it. So should you.

I have not seen this. I have seen other issues, but they were corrected (she would say OK be on stage in 3 minutes then nothing, judges not appearing etc). I did #5 twice, 6 (maybe 4 again) and 7 (maybe 5 again) earlier today, and at least one#5on each server. They worked fine for me. 1 char is MM, the other is Music 4340, neither are ME.

I have not seen the ratings either. I see no badge, or anything so I dunno where they are kept or what they do.

Yes they do sound lame, shallow and insulting. In theory I have not gotten past #5 (even tho I completed it). Lets see what the final "prize" is. I have low expectations also, and I'm still sharpening my sword.

thanks RS

I just succeeded at Mission Three!

An NPC audience spawned. I got system messages saying 180 seconds... 120 seconds... etc.

The NPC audience give you hints as to what to do!

I did not start playing until the system message told me to and I still succeeded...

You can use /conv on the NPCs to talk to them from the stage

I got 1k reward.....

going to try Mission IV

I just finished Mission IV (Advertise to 20 people).

I got system message for each person but the very last person.

It seems the system message for having entertained the 20th person is still going to that person instead of oneself.

I still completed it though and am about to try number V for the first time. o.O
