If someone made me name a figure, I'd say 50k. Just 'cause I can go grind credits as a swordsman at a lot more than that. But I don't typically perform to support myself, so...I dunno.

100,000 for the first hour, 30,000 for each additional. Of course this is for the full gambit, fireworks, music, special effects and I usually get a couple dancers and an additional musician to play.

Free. I think a lot of Master Musicians over charge for their services. I accept tips, of course!

Xero, I assume you do not make your living performing (not buffing, I mean performing/entertaining)?

To answer the orginal question, The Force (which at any given show can be between 4 to 7 performers) charges a base fee of 50k for a one hour show. This is low when you consider what goes into that...the rehearsal times, travel, the time performing and working up new material. Having said that, I can't remember when the last time was that we acutally left with just 50k...which is a good thing.

As a solo musician, if I was asked to go play somewhere for an hour, I would give a 50k price tag for it.

Actually, I do. I just don't ask for money. The end result is that I get even more money then I would have normally asked for. There are some cheapskates out there, but the majority of the people are grateful to my service, and since I'm so nice to offer it for free, they give me a little something extra.

I was once offered 5k to do a party. I did the party for free. The people there liked me so much, I got 100k out of it. The funny thing is, I thought it was 10k, and went to bed. I woke up the next morning, and saw it was 100k! And I was nice, and I check to see if there was a mistake.. Nope, they gave me 10k!

I just don't think it's fair that I charge for my services. All it costs me is time, and I enjoy doing it, so I just accept tips!

Time is extremely valuable. I often consider the fact that in 3 hours I can make 500K doing combat missions. Or, I can go into a Cantina and dance around and play music hoping that out of the goodness of someone's heart I can make maybe 50K. lol

Truth is, I generally enjoy entertaining more than I enjoy combat. So, I'm often willing to play a gig for 50K because the enjoyment I get out of it is worth it. But, I'm not gonna do it for free. I think a full band for an event is well worth 200K to be split amongst the bandmembers. If it's just one person for an event, which I'm assuming that's what this question is about, then 50K is good to make it worth the while for some good entertainment.

And, this is really for the whole gig...2 to 3 hours, not necessarily per hour since most gigs average 2-3 hours. Oh, and of course, tips above and beyond standard rate given by the audience (not the person hiring you) is always accepted.

My current character is not this type of performer. He is not a wedding signer type of entertainer... More of a wandering panhandler who just happens to play music when he reaches his destination.

In the past though when I did play this type of entertainer I would base my fee on the size and time requirements of the event. For a small gathering among close friends the scale would be smaller than say a grand wedding with many other entertainers needed.

The figure would be between 10 -100k.
