Thread: The /diagnose command

So the medics can use a new command since the patch called /diagnose that lets them see wounds and BF.

Hmmm BF eh? Anybody see the writing on the wall? Why do the medics get this wonderful command and the entertainers are left out in the cold? I thought we were healers too. Do i now have to get points in medic also? I cannot see BF and BF is my biz. I can only see black bars in blue not specific wound counts.

Anybody ever wonder if they are just gonna get rid of us altogether? Another patch and medics might start healing mind wounds and BF. I mean they have the tools to diagnose that now and we don't. Makes ya wonder.

Let us see a little realistic on it, shall we?

As entertainers we can't diagnose people, which is only fair, because we don't have the education for it. Ofcourse it would be good to have, but let us just say it out straight, to add that command to medic is just a realistic thing, not adding it to the entertainers is another realistic thing.

And no I don't think the medics will be able to heal BF and mind wounds... it's simple something that isn't put together with medicine.

We medics need to see the amount of BF a person has to determine whether we should send them on to you or heal them up. I've seen loads of people come from the cloning center straight to the med center with over 200 BF. If someone has BF that high, then it really messes up our medicines. I could be healing for 400 wounds in one shot, but if someone comes in with 200BF I will only heal like 50-100 wounds. It has saved me from losing a lot of resources which are hard to come by and it lets me get these people out as fast as possible.

I agree that we don't need to see their mind wounds because we'll never be able to do anything to their mind (which I like. Entertainers should heal mind wounds - they relax your mind, and it heals ^-^). But with BF, we do need to see. If we want to get the most out of our meds, then we need to make sure that the patients mind at ease.

Hmm perhaps we should have /diagnose in order to send people to Medics after they walk into the cantina to heal up. Works both ways Doc.

The entertainer role in this game is the one of a Healer. Our ENTIRE Job (as far as the Devs seem concerned, since its the only thing we do that isn't bugged) is to HEAL BF and HEAL Blue.

If we are to be the one trick ponies of this game, then we should have the tools necessary for the job.

So medics get to send people our way, eh? Well good for them. I always check with my Doc before i go out on the town. It's still only one step away from them healing the stuff themselves. Would just take one more command and we go poof. Sure would feel safer in my chosen profession if medics could not see the things that they have no chance of healing. At least for now.

Nice to see even our fellow Healers the Medics consider us an attachment to their class. We might as well be some kind of Blue healing devices in the med center i guess.

If the devs have added the ability for medics to /diagnose BF, that's all to the good as far as I'm concerned. In a sense, we entertainers already have that ability. If I target someone and they show no mind wounds, but I get Heal XP as I play, I know they've got BF. Also, as an entertainer I have another way of ascertaining this: my usual musician's chatter. If I start getting loads of Heal XP, I sometimeschat the fighter up about how much BF they have, what they've been fighting, and so forth.

The importance of dancers and musicians can't be overstated. Without us, fighters would soon cease to function. My Musician fights more and more often now -- he's about to become a Sergeant in the war on the evil Empire -- and BF is often his most urgent problem. Well, that and his rather alarming fashion sense.

All you need is Novice Medic, Highly recommended to educate yourself in that, until you are running out of Skill points.

LOL true, novice medic is an answer, but it makes me chuckle. In order to playallthe instruments and the songs i had to Master Ent and Master Music, Now in order to get something that i should have ,given my titles, ineed to take novice medic. Don't see why i have to go to other fields to be fully outfitted for my double field as it is. Oh i know why! It wasn't thought out right in implementation.

Hope they don't change it so we can't make instruments without taking novice artisan.

Uhoh.....i shouldn't have mentioned that....

Its not like Entertainers really NEED to know what a patrons specific wound count is.

Battle Fatigue affects the use of Wound Packs, and therefore is handy to know for Doctors.

Knowing the exact size of a specific wound allows a Doctor to better choose which size of Wound Pack to apply, and reduce the use of the expensive high end packs.

If you had the ability to check BF and wounds, would you adjust the song you are playing to compensate in some way?

Maybe we should be allowed too. Give us something to do of course first we would need the /diagnose command.

Healing isn't your only job. You can also buff. Maybe you should know this?

Regman I don't really see what we, the entertainers, should use a command like /diagnose for... can you?

Want to know a valid reason why we should have the command... and why
