Exact same issue was happening here, in the /denyservice as griefing thread over in the Dancer forums. Yep yep... it's griefing. Report it.
So /denyservice is a toggle?
I guess I never tried to /denyservice after I'd already done a /denyservice, but I guess it "un-denies" the person?
Never realized that....

Yep, it's a toggle. Once to deny, again to revoke the service denial.
Ya learn somethin' new every day!
Thanks for the info ![]()
Usually when I use it it's an absolute last resort, so undenying them isn't an option ![]()

WEll that's 'cause silly me didn't check to see if Beli posted in the musician forum before I posted in the dancer forum.
Either way, good to see it discussed, I think. And the good guy won in the end!!
If they do something, report it...the more we report the more chance something will be done.

Ok I dont know if this is a bug or what, But today I went to the dathomir science outpost to do some live entertainer buffing and doctor buffing, Upon entering the cantina I was imediately getting system message from a buff bot that I was added to her denial of service list, few seconds later I got the system message that I was removed from her denial of service list. this happend every 5 mintues, since its a system message I can not addignore this.
I found this very offensive that a afk buff bot would deny me service even though I do not need their service. For a buff bot to deny service to a live Master Musician in a npc city is just not right. I have never came down on the buff bots, but I am slowly losing my patience with you all, I have even healed you all sometimes agisnt my better judgement. I would have not had a probelm with this denial of service if it hadnt been a constant system message spam on my screen and if it s a bug then my apolgies to the person I got kicked form the game today and you know who you are.

Hi Beli,
I am assuming you are referring to me.
I would like to state that you are not on my deny service list. I also would like to make it very clear that I would not even consider adding entertainers to my deny list. The people that are on my list are grievers, people who have caused trouble in game. They are all fighters, btw.
The list, as it stands only consists of around 7 people. Reading some of the posts in this forum i find it unbelievably hard to imagine the paranoia that surrounds what has now been classed as Buff-Bots.
We are made out to sound like a mafia organisation, that trade lists of people to deny service. Trade the "best-ways-to-buff" macros. This, at least from my perspective is so far from the truth that i have to giggle when i read such comments. I have to admit i do receive a flow of mails asking for my macro, to which i do not respond. I only help people that ask for specific answers. I admit i speak to airdew from time to time, however it is usually a quick chat to evaluate the current situation. i.e. when dance buffs were broken.
Back on topic, I have realised, that if i target someone and my deny macro kicks in, they, as i do, receive a bunch of added/removed messages onscreen. I have to mention, at this point that this must have been my mistake, i must have forgotten to unselect you after examining your bio. For which i appologise deeply and will attempt to remember to unselect people after examining them.
After reading both Dance and Music forums it comes to light that the /denyservice command would appear to have become a grieving method it is own right. I find this intriguing, the grievers become the grieved. To be honest I would rather be kicked out of the game for denying certain fighters a mind buff, than allow them to be buffed by me. I have many friends online, to which i speak each day. So many people have complained about certain Nyax campers, kill stealers and general grievers that i feel it is my duty to slow down their progress in game. On one occasion i received over 40 mails regarding one individual.
So, can i just reiterate this. If you receive these messages from me, it is not because you are on my list, it is not that i (or we the buff bots) have something against you. You will probably find that it is due to the fact you were target for examination. Perhaps, next time before reporting try walking away out of range and coming back. You will see that you will not receive the messages again.
Yes there is plenty of info on the forums to support the fact that buff-bot activity damages the entertainer profession so I won't rehash the arguement itself.
