Some people have musician because they like the profession, songs, and instruments. And some people like musician because of it being a profession that allows you to talk with other people in the cantina while doing your job. Professions aren't always about usefulness.

Im a heavey swordsman and i picked up musician so i could keep some focus on this character and not try and create a new one else where. i also have musician so i can make some money buffing and help out people on remote places like dathomir to heal their battle fatigue so they don't have to run back to coronet in lag city.

For most recipients, our buff is better than brandy. We double Focus and Willpower for two hours. That's not bad, though I wouldn't mind if the duration were longer.

As other says, there's more to being a Musician than being a buff-bot. Many of us started Musician before we even knew we had any sort of buff at all. We did it because it's fun to play in a band, because it's social, because healing is fun, because it's different from the mob-slaughtering grind that dominatest these games.

BTW, when I started Musician at launch, it took me three or four weeks to Master it. I didn't even have a macro on my toolbar. Hehe. I remember when "Plava Laguna" entered a public cantina and started AFK-macroing with periodic spam, we all thought it was the strangest thing.

i guess thats ok, but here's the thing, doc buffs do around 2k, we do hopefully 500, and its only on 2 stats, people have to get both a dancer and a musician to get a full mind buff, and most dancers charge 15k, musicain 5k, and then docs around 10k, so all added up to get a full buff is 30k. This is insane, all i want is for the mind buff to be able to match a doc buff, that is all.
