Thread: Companion professions input
I was just looking for some feedback on which professions y'all do in addition to being musicians. I'm tempted by tailoring, but the exp/time required to reach a point of being able to produce valuable products is a quite discouraging.
Please post what your second (and maybe third, if you have one) profession is, and why you enjoy it, and why do you think it's a good complement to being a musician.
Thanks for the help!
I have a Master Entertainer + novice Dancer + novice Musician alt ![]()
I dabble in everything and figure that I'll start dumping skills when I max out my skil points.
I craft/survey enough to make instruments. I scout enough to make camps and get explore bonuses. I have pistol skills and may work towards pistoleer. I'm very close to Master Entertainer and aspire towards Master Musician someday. I'll probably work towards Master Tailor as well, but my work in that area has slacked off quite a bit so we'll have to see. Enough medic to heal myself and unlikely to go beyond that. Certainly any medic skills above novice will be the first to go when the time comes.
Soon to be master musician.
Well, musician is a very peacefull job ... so I choosed the rifleman profession as my 2nd job. I want the big bang out in the fields! )
So far i have novice everything except Brawler and Artisan.
Im going the Master Ent / Musician route for sure, probably going to pick up Novice Dancer, at least to the point where I get all the Poplock moves.
Otherwise I'll probably keep my Novice Medic, and level up Scout Exploration/Survival.
I made Expert pistol last night.... LOVE IT! So I'll probably keep that and the Ranged Support, maybe even work ok the Rifle skills.
All in all, I feel like my Entertainer is pretty self sufficient this way, and can do lots of things besides hanging out in the cantina all the time.
Currently Master Entertainer/Novice Musician/Novice Marksman. (Actually I have a splash of Scout, Medic and Artisan as well for now, while my points aren't doing anything else)
Target Build is Master Entertainer/Master Musician/Master Pistoleer
I'll get to do the Music I really enjoy so far, and when my friends want to go into the field to wreak havoc, I won't be an incompetent boob with a blaster. That is what works for me.
master entertainer, soon to be master musician...
doesnt leave a whole lot of play-room for further character development.... Obviously the first novice skill I bought was artisan so I could at least make what I needed for myself if tips didn't pay the way. Tips are so variable, I might get 500 one day, 5000+ the next. I picked up medic for small stamina heals, and scout so I could gather bone and hide. Finally I picked up marksman because melee combat would be suicide for a thin-skinned Rodian.
I'll almost certainly drop medic and scout. I'm going to get domestic art IV and make some threads, but then I might give up being an artisan too, and devote my few remaining skill points to a very very slow learning of image design. I'd still have a few points left over to keep in carbine I guess, but I'm pretty feeble in combat so I doubt it'll help much.
