Thread: Lighting the Cantinas

Hey everyone,
Im one of those people that have been playing from the start, but not a poster much 
. Today I was just dancing in the cantina, after getting new clothes and image design done and just noticed something. Im a twi'lek and just got a very bright color and enjoyed it, it looked awesome in the salon because of all the lighting. But in the cantina, the off rooms are somewhat lighted, but the main room with the bar is just so dark. In the cantinas I dont really get the full effect of my new colors.

I dont think it would be time wasting and it would probably be very simple. There are personel lights, but not everyone uses them.
What do you guys think?

Wow, sorry about the couple posts :S I just slected spell cehck a couple times and sent it and all those came up

The only way would be to do bad stuff in them.

Hmm...well when I see cantinas in the movies, they are all pretty dark. When I walk into a bar or nightclub here in the real world, they are generally pretty dark. I think it would ruin some of the immersion of the game, and since we seem to have very little of that as it is, I'd rather keep what little we have. If you would like your clothes to be brighter, I would suggest adjusting your brightness, contrast, and gamma settings, or turning on your personal light.

If you want something for your own viewing pleasure... try Crtl-L. This is you Personal Light. Only you can see it, but it can allow you to admire those new colors... even if noone else can.

I agree, the dark is part of the atmosphere. Also, the dark lets our techs show up better since they do a rather nice job of lighting up the area. If it was all ready light, people wouldn't notice them as much.

Yep,pretty dark indeed.
They should put some lights in there, what is it a cantina or a morgue. I don't want like the blinding light of God or anything, just something more ambient so you can see people's faces.
I turn on my personal light (CTRL+L) nearly everytime I enter a cantina. It's annoying.

At least all the NPC cantinas ..most of the player city cantinas seem to be well lighted.

This thread was cross-posted. Someone elsewhere suggested turning on your personal light to see your own colors, but said that wouldn't help other people.
However, I think it's probably common practice to have the personal light on when in a cantina, so most people will be able to use their own lights to see you, so I'm sure your bright color choices haven't gone unnoticed.
