there is a skill under musician techniques called music mind enchancement. What exactly does this do? Could it be of uses in combat for those fighting? Would a medic not engaged in combat (but out in the field) benefit from a musician's music?

As I've been avoiding Techniques until Knowledge is full, I'm not familiar with that skill, but the only time music has any effect is in a campsite, or a cantina (or guild hall or hotel...any place with a stage really)or player home. I would guess this skill is a + to mind wound healing, or mind damage healing...?

So the best class to play is a rifleman because they can shoot from 60 meters away without penalty and hit the only stat that can't be insta-healed by a medic.

Since you put it thatis way, rifleman sounds good.

I think musicians/dancers should have an ability in their tech line that gives them an added combat move. Something like the lighting we have now, this could be used to confuse or blind a mob. Would be nice.

Personally, I think they should make all the lighting effects become skills a Musician/Dancer could use in Combat. For example; one skill could be used to boost mana regen. This would help the issue with people getting incapped from Mind Damage in combat because Medics cannot heal that, while also making Musicians/Dancers more usefull outside of the Cantina. All those skills that make lighting effects and such could EASILY become things helpful in combat. Dazzle could become a stun or mezmerize the target, while another could Charm a creature for a short amount of time. I don't see how this would unbalance anything at all because as I see it Musicians/Dancers don't have much to do outside of the Cantina..

I have a related question. Why do we master musicians gain some combat skills? I think we get a bonus to melee defense and ranged defense, or some such. Mind you, I'm notcomplaining! Just curious.

the popup description for music mind enhancement says the ability is for mind injuries. There are already 2 seperate abilityies and skill branches for wound and battle fatigue healing. Is this ability buged/broken?

I think mind injuries means damage, not wounds... So maybe it does increase mind regeneration.

I think however that we should get a real mind heal. It's sorely needed.

Yes at the Master Musician and Master Dancer levels we get a +7 to both Ranged Defense and Melee Defense. Why? No idea.

P.S. I still think we need some moves like knee-groin and instrument-bash/stab.

The +7 to melee and ranged defense is supposed to represent theagilitythat a masterentertainer has developed over the many years of practicing his craft, only makes sense for the dancer really, but we can't have our otherwise identical classes being unbalanced now can we?

well I know we entertainers can heal mind wounds in camp butthe only place to healBF is in Catina, hotel, or a player owned building. Now I have no idea what happens when BF maxes out if it does, and since I don't know what happens I think we are pretty good now. The mind healing in camp because if affects how fast you canget incapped I understand. So could someone explain to me why some people feel we need to heal BF in camps also? That way I have some understanding about what I'm talking about.

When out in combat you acquire wounds in your attributes as well as Battle Fatigue. The higher the Battle Fatigue the harderit will be to heal your wounds out in the Field which means eventually you have to run yourself back to a city and hang out in a cantina or hotel or whatever. Which at times can be a total pain in the akole/time sink especially if your out in the field with a few friends Exploring and Killing stuff for fun. It's not so much a neccessity to be able to heal Battle Fatigue at campsights but more of a convienence (sometimes you just don't feel like going into town). I have been pondering the thought of carrying a small house with me so when my group gets to a point where the Battle Fatigue becomes a issue I can lay a house down and take care of the problem and we can go on with activities of the day without having to run all the way to town, Especially when in BFE. However with the implementations of vehicles/mounts in the coming months maybe it won't be so much of a issue but I personally try to stay out of towns , I am country!
