The code is there. The challenge is at least a bit fun. Why not make our mission terminals tell us to go to this or that theater and put on a quest-like performance? Payout can be based on how satisfied the audience ends up. Given the time and effort required for such a task, I'd expect these missions to payout on the order of 4-5K. Maybe make missions more difficult, and more lucrative, based on the number of entertainers in the group?

Excellent idea!

Perhaps there is finally a way to earn some real money for us entertainers. Although I love to take missions when I'm in a band of 10 people and get the shared moneyof 43 credits... =)

Yeah, that'd be sweet!

It'd be better than going to some random empty cantina

Yep, excellent idea. "Better gig missions" has been on our top-five for a while, but it would help if we could support that item with a more specific suggestion, and this one definitely fits the bill.

Yeah...I have been wondering myself if this coding is all meant to be for the mission terminals anyway... and they lumped the reward in real fast because they don't have the hutt casino ready for us.

I agree, these don't feel so much like a quest so much as missions which would be better than the norm and offer a decent payout, especially for those entertainers new to the game.

Great idea, BUT then where does our "Quest" fit into the scheme of things? if its just like the Terminal missions, it becomes even more dull and boring. Then what? do they take it down for a "revamp" and stuff it on the back burner for 6 months?

I really liked running through the audience and getting info on what they want and don't want to hear. Its a couple thousand credits through the quest and thats a lot more than any of the mission terminal payouts. I'm not a fan of "promoting" and getting 10, 20, and 30 people to listen to me. That part felt like such a grind. But then that seems to be the nature of quests. Grind them out. But if you could pick up a mission to poll theater patrons, or hotel patrons, and even cantina patrons, and play what they want, I think that would be especially great for new entertainers to get them used to changing flourishes and learning the different songs. Also puts a better money clip in their pocket, and is more involved than "go here and play until we say you are done". BLARF. I think a number of us master might even be amused to play with it. It might even draw players (one can hope) if they know ents are actively performing quests/missions in such new places.

Regarding the current quest and the near identical nature with the mission proposal, they could perhaps wait until some of this "upcoming" entertainer content, and add the quest reward there, and then put the current concept on the terminals with a higher payout to make up for the song/dance. That part I haven't thought about. I'm not too good at thinking game mechanics. I just know I would have enjoyed doing the patron conversing and performing by what they want as a youngling.

Agreed. This would make it much better than the current missions.

This would be totally awesome.. also would be great if, in addition to the theater, they give you a waypoint to one of the oudoor static concert set-ups (with mics and naralagons and such) or even instanced missions:

"Rekro Mistchamer is holding a ceremony for the visiting Imperial general. Go out to the base at this waypoint and perform for the general and other guests. They are expecting you in ten minutes."

Even greater if there are some npc bandmembers involved and you are supposed to join in and lead the band with bandflourishes

What would group missions be like?

I like the idea as well. You would need to "see the stage manager" instead of just arriving to coordinate multiple people hitting the theater at the same time. They could also do hotel performances as well to mix it up.I would also like to seethe advertising/promotion quest in there. To me giving entertainers a reason to get outside the buildings and playing in public, particularly as a group reward would do us far more good than anything else would. I was amazed at how invisible a group of 3 musicians, 2 dancers, and two droids were in the middle of Coronet starport. Easily afew hundred people went through before 30 listened and that with resorting to asking.

Giving quests that copy the concert would be great but I would also like to see group quests where your band must go to Ybe heard byX number of people. When people did listen to us in Coronet they were pretty amazed at the fact we were making music instead of noise. I had people coming up to me in Theed cantina thanking me and expressing how impressed they were we did coordinate moves, sounds, etc. People remembered seeing me in Coronet Starport, outside Theed starport, and then back at the cantina. They laughed and asked if I was on tour, a degree of attention and noteriety that should go along with entertainer. My luck they would tell my group to go toKeren which is pretty much deserted but hey then I have to advertise the show in advance to insure an audience.

Speaking of the mechanics being in place what about dispensing new songs through this same manager. Perhaps a menu of scrolls to chose from when we finish the quest. This way we could go through the quest multiple times and increase the songs we have. No new significant development since the quest and gate condition exist they just need to offer the menu of scrolls at the end when you pass.

I think this is an excellent idea as well.

I would be extremely pleased as well if they would just scale the payout of the existing generic missions up with with level, much like they do for the CHs. Or some similar method. That way a Master could run a mission and get 3-5k for his work and you can devote an hour every other day to missions and the rest of the time can be spent "entertaining" the masses.
