Dearest Warplex,
finally....
- 10 minute duration buffs! 10 minute duration buffs for the rest of the year, for no apparent reason! MWA HA HA HA HA. Then, maybe in 2005 or something, we'll consider thinking about looking into the problem with the buffing system. If the moon is full, and Jedis are perfect, and combat has reached it's perfect balance, and we're having pizza for lunch in our staff meeting. Then, and only then, maybe.
i cant imagine that the jedi and powergamer community would stand for mindbuffs lasting only 10 minutes, any responses?
edit:double quote... interesting.

As our one (and only) purpose in existing within the game is to serve all the combat classes' whims, I would say yes - the Jedi and powergamer community won't stand for 10 minute buffs.
On the other hand, maybe it would motivate THEM to crab about our lack of any buffing interface or knowledge of how long/powerful the buff will be.
I mean, how much brains does it take to realize that THEIR problems with our professions are the same as OUR problems with our professions.
Although the whole 10 minute buff thing was a joke, in all seriousness -the Jedi and powergamersshould be the ones complaining to the Devs about inexplicable 20 minute buffs (if there's any buff at all). Because they really do happen. THEY should complain to the Devs about how hard it is to find an entertainer. These are things that, if dealt with by SOE in some kind of active way, would help EVERYONE inthe game. These are things are easily approached, and can be solved with just a little creative thinking.
But no, we get no action taken. Instead, buffbots rule the galaxies, more alt accounts are started up for "convenient" entertainer buffs, and we drift further into extinction due to misplaced frustration and impatience.
So, final word, if Jedi and powergamers wouldn't stand for mindbuffs lasting only 10 minutes, neither would we - it's our job and our livelihood.

I'm sorry, I think I missed something. Since when would SOE want to demote half of their customers getting extra alternate accounts? One thing I've noticed, is that all of those special buff-bots that are part of an alternate account, is exactly what SOE wants. It means a LOT more money for them.
Enough of that! I have a question for our God! Almighty Warryyr, why did we receive help with our content (which is long over due,) when we are in more dire need of system fixes?

Fixes shmixes. That's poopy work. We just want to put more stuff in the game. True, it may not work right and it may break stuff that used to work right. But it improves the game......somehow.
You see, for fixes, we're so focused on the Jedi Revamp and Jump to Lightspeed that we don't have time to rummage through all those lines of code and figure out what's wrong. Then we'd have togeta fix coded and put in place on Test Center.
For new content, however, we only have to develop creative new ideas, plan on their inclusion to the game, create the new code and animations to make it happen, compose any new sounds/effects for it, test it and rework it, publish it to Live, fix bugs in Live as a result of the brand new code, and then finally fix bugs resulting from bug fixes to fix the new code introduced to Live.
As you can see, it's far easier to make new content than fix the bugs.

Mr Warryyr, Musician Dev Pro Tempore, I have a question....
Do you really know what your talking about or do you have an automated reply generator?
The entertainer is an exciting new type of profession in MMO gaming. It is a social based profession where players interact with other players. Thanks for the question and[DOWHILE CASE (R9)=1 syntax=x'ff03da'the directive causing this problem is unknown]njoy playing Star Wars Galaxie[Null value found when expecting((CHARDATA STRING%))- the command will be ignored (CodeV9318)].

Dear Mr. Dev
Your answer sounded different than your previous ones, could it be possible that one of the diehard entertainers managed to post in your name? Or are you even one of them in disguise?

Oh great musician developer pro tempore...
Us entertainers buff the populance of power gamers and jedi as our sole purpose in life
Doctors provide buffs
So should doctors provide all of the buffs, both health, action, and mind? If they could provide those buffs, and heal battle fatigue and mind wounds, we wouldn't have a use. And if we didn't have a use, we need not be in the game, which would allow you developers to cut our professions out, and have a more streamlined game. When will this happen?
When Durni's fly. If entertainers were taken out of the game, I'd lose my job! Also, what would we have to complain about, then?
ButAlmighty Dev Pro Temp, some Durni already fly, one was hovering over my head just a few days ago...I took a picture, I'll see if I can find it.

Well, then I guess I'd better start looking though the code.
