Thread: I proclaim myself the new Musician Dev, pro tempore since ours has been AWOL for a long time!

Oh great musician dev...
last nite i managed to musician buff a person, and he claimed i did not. using /diagnose, i determined he is a lying ****er. my point is this: He obviously didn't know because a buff interface on the client side was not put in... so my question is this:
Will those conch shells be purple or blue?
They will be the same boring, drab grey that plagues all of the current instruments. We determined that allowing color customization of instruments would be too....sensible.

Hello. Sorry if this has been addressed before, but I feel it is an important issue.
There is currently an exploit that allows a player to remain at the keyboard while playing. How will this be addressed and when can we expect a fix?
Ah yes, the "At the Keyboard Musician Exploit." Don't worry, we're fixing this shortly - after JTL/Combat Balance/Grandma's 110th Birthday/New Year's Rockin Eve 2008. Our purpose in creating the Musicians and Dancers was that they would remain in one spot and never move, and exist solely for the combat players' benefit. Our current workaround forthe"At the Keyboard Exploit"issue is the following:
1. Play your character the correct way, AFK and macroing - right next to the live performer.
2. Undercut the exploiting ATK player's buff price.
3. Spam ad nauseum about tips and heals, and about how easy your AFK buffbot process is. Don't forget to misspell a lot of words, and make sure you say something every 10 seconds or so - wouldn't want anyone to miss a chance to use your spiffy AFK macro to get buffed!
4. Wait for CSR Badge for being a tribute to your profession.

I have not ever...nor will not ever bow before a red name.
That being said i doubt you will answer my question ever ever never ever!
Also i would like to point out that while your sitting in your office eating pizza and drinking Cherry coke that there are afk buff bots dying of starvation in the Cantina!
How rude!
If you don't belive me go look for yourself, there are several in there right now mumbling about how hungry they are and need to shelter 11 million children and so forth. And look at them! Half of them look like they havent seen the Sun in months! Not to mention how skinny and gaunt they look from malnutrition!
I am appalled at the lack of respect that is being given these poor helpless victims.
Can we please find a way to help them feed themselves and their starving afk families?
I do all i can by paying them with food and clothing but when i try to give it to them they are too weak to even take it from me!
*cry*
Help them
Ceta

Great One,
Some Jawas ran off with my Nalargon. Have you seen it?
Yep, it's probably the same Nalargon I bought from them for 5 credits and sold on the Theed Bazaar for 6000 credits.
Mwahahaha.

and Ceta too /giggle
but *ahem* let me adopt the proper solemn and serious attitude with which we should always address our Musician Dev...
Dear all seeing and all powerful Musician Dev:
The other day one of those people who randomly wanders in and out of my cage...er..the cantina, sent mecreditsfor some reason. What should I do with them?

Here is a fun time with a load of credits you don't care about.
Each time an AFK'er says "tips and heals are appreciated!" or anything to that effect, bank tip them 1 credit. Keep going until:
A) You run out of credits.
B) They ask what the **edit** you're doing.
C) Their inbox is chock full of spam, just like Spatial, and you've tired of bank tipping.
If you're asked about it later, just say you tipped them 2000 credits and have no idea what they're talking about.

You, sir, are a genius.
I've been wanting to lay down some heavy money in the SS Coronet Cantina lately, but the times I've gone in and said "The first dancer or musician to send me a message gets 100k" I have had no takers...I think instead of that I'll just lay down a fewcredits like this--a few thousand anyway. I'm pretty sure there's a way to AFK macro E-mails, I just have to do a little research, time the AFK bots' messages, take a seat, and tip away.
I can just see an AFK'er reporting me for it too LOL! I need to log in as Tral and start practicing my innocent look. Maybe Tral will do better with his innocent look than Lilo does.

Warryyr wrote:Dearest Warplex,finally....- 10 minute duration buffs! 10 minute duration buffs for the rest of the year, for no apparent reason! MWA HA HA HA HA. Then, maybe in 2005 or something, we'll consider thinking about looking into the problem with the buffing system. If the moon is full, and Jedis are perfect, and combat has reached it's perfect balance, and we're having pizza for lunch in our staff meeting. Then, and only then, maybe.
i cant imagine that the jedi and powergamer community would stand for mindbuffs lasting only 10 minutes, any responses?
edit:double quote... interesting.
