I agree that itdoesn't seem right that a Master Entertainer should be able to play an instrument or a song that a Master Musican cannot. The simplest solution seems to be just to give the darn thing to both. That is, have the Mando and the Ceremonial song appear in BOTH boxes. That way, if you get to Master Entertainer, you can take your Mando/Ceremonial song and go, but if you go on to Master Musician, and have to later drop Master Entertain to make room for something else, you still have your Mando/ Ceremonial song because it also appears as part of Master Musician.


I love my Mando, too, but I am about to lose it because there simply aren't enough skill points to go around for what I want to do with my character. *sob*


I f nothing else, just put the same song under Master Musician, but throw a number after it, and put something like "Advanced Mandoviol" in that box. Would appease everyone.

you know seeing TH's reply to our profession, i now have to agree with the mando/ ceremonial.... I have always always always been for keeping them how it was. But since it apears that we will get nothing for quite some time.... lets remove the ME requirement so I can free up SP do do something else

hi I like this idea.. some thoughts off mine just =)


the compose music is only a problem if u gonna use 3d party stuff in this game and this mp3 thing... yes thats a huge problem and will never hapen cause of real life situation.. but this is a subject that I have brought up under the brain storming forum not saying that it was a good or bad post I made but I wont bring the idea uphere again...


but if ppl stick to how the game works with composing ideas its not really a big deal. The idea of mp3 and other streaming medias dosn't fall because the idea is not good, cause its an awsome idea .. it falls because of rl situation with royalties and also the simple fact that the synth is not included when buying the game and would only benefit the very few compared to how many that actually play this could benefit from the whole idea. I dont have a synth... I still have played music my whole life more or less and would love to be able to "compose" songs here without having to buy a super expensive synth or have to understand some new 3d party programs.. and other ppl that havnt even played music for real in rl might love to be able to compose if they get the chance to.. just the fact of limiting something from others makes it fall.


if the composing is limitid by swgs own material then there is no problems with that.


about the bard .. Im sorry to say but Id hate to see that hapen.. no u dont play sw2 to kill a dragon .. no there is no battle what so ever that has used a musician to kill someone by playing musik songs... maybe as torture with loud music and bad music.. but that we have with all the holo musicians anyway.. no there is nowhere in the starwars movies someone playing music to kill someone..

if u want bards play eq, daoc or any other game in same genre. there is nothing wrong with bards like that.. as long as they are in the right area.. I dont know but I have played swg for a while now and I must say that I cant really fit them into the whole theam here.. its starwars.


they made musicians good as a proffesion.. yes it needs improvments and so has and still do all the other proffesions..


I hope u get them to read the brainstorm thread caus even if the ideas there might not be so good developed (my in mind there) there is good base line thinking in it and there is lots of great ideas there that ppl have posted.


well actually u got it all in what u wrote very good =).. just wanted to boost the compose part.. and sadly not to boost the bard part.

I posted this in another thread, but why not post it again. What about Alto version(s) of the horns. All they would have to do is lower the pitch, they could keep all the same flourishes. It seems to me that this would be fairly easy to put in.

Lately, the not being able to self buff has become a big issue to me, as I am also trying out some of the other profession whiel jkeeping master musician. My idea is maybe musicians and dancersshould just be permanently buffed to how much they can buff others. Lots of players will say this is too much and say its unfair, but I disagree. For how many skill points are spent becoming a master musician or dancer, and having so little actual abilities to show for it, I feel this is a small compromise.



My idea on limiting AFK performers, is to reduce the amount of ent healing exp required to master musician and dancer, it is insanely difficult to collect that amount, and so players are forced to afk play in order to not go insane when trying to gain ent healing exp. With the reduced amount of time to master them, the afk grinders will come and go more quicklyleaving more live players on average.



This are my little idea on matters anyways, hope they are of some help!
