I don't know... I think healing mods would besomewhat uninterestingas a force sensitive bonus. I mean, master musicians and dancers heal fast enough, I don't think I would even notice if I had an increase of the healing mods...

I'm sure the rest of the Musician community would be glad to put your recomendations in the list.

LeBob, I'm not sure we're supposed to post our question today; I thought TH pushed everything back by one week, so that the other professions have their go today. Or did they already ask questions and get answers? I thought not; TH has been off at FF.

Unfortunately, it's taking me five minutes to look at any given message on this stupid Lithium board, so it's hard to check. I'll pop by again in half an hour or so; maybe this board will be useable then.

TH already answered the other 19 questions....we are up next... dunno when our questions are due though

Hehe, true it would be beneficial to non-master Musicians and Dancers, but I was more thinking that an entertainer with force sensitivity most likely already are a master.

And, to get a force sensitive bonus that we can get with clothings normally isn't much to cheer for, I think.

It would be more interesting with something unique I think. Now, what that could be is abit hard to figure out...

There won't be any answers this week. You may have noticed a lack of TH. Next week should be our turn.

I'm all for asking whether we can get the FS ability to buff better/longer.

Unfortunately, I'm sure the response will be:

"You can tell how long your buff duration is by looking at the buff window. The strength of the buff is listed in your stat sheet."

They seem really keen on telling us things we already know, so I expect nothing more

I want to know when they're going to do something about the buffbots. It's really getting bad on my server.

Musician has become the profession of bots and fools. I hold on to it because I'm in a band, then I hearabout thesejukeboxes. Lord help me, jukeboxes. It's as if they're actually planning ahead, for the day when nobody plays entertainers but alts.

I hang out in Mos Eisley these days, because new players don't realize they should be afk. One of them went afk, and somebody asked, "How long can she be afk like that?" I answered. "Forever!? You mean she won't get caught!?" Not in this game, kid, this ain't likeany other game you played.

Being alt-buffbot accounts generate income, bottom line, I seriously doubt they'll ever do anything about it.

Would it be possible to let the Entertainer Droid moduals allow us to buff outside the cantina/Hotel/Theater?

Doctors are allowed to buff outside the medical centre with droids... I think it would be so cool to be able to set up a droid doing Base and special effectswhile I played my Narg, being able to do this at the starport or something, people would appreciate being able to get mind buffs while shuttle waiting I bet.

We could then start making major profit! We could shout about to start a Buff set in a few minutes PST for group invite, then charge people to join the group. Once ready just start up the ol'Droid and voila! Instand 1 person buff band!

I would so love the devs if they allowed this, the cantina is so confining =( And if they really wanted to keep it almost like it is, make it so we still can't heal BF only do buffs (And maybe heal wounds) with a droid with a entertainer mod in it.

LeBob, I agree,I think it makes sense to ask about buff duration as a FS skill. My only worry about that is that it might mean us non-FS entertainers will be stuck with two hours for all eternity, but we probably are anyway.

the ironic thing is that the ONE developer that worked on entertainer is now on jedi.... though he completed it in 2 weeks, i guess he didn't see it fit to include the entertainers in that new jedi tree...

what makes me more sad then that was this... at Fan Fest I asked a dev "who's the entertainer dev?" the reply: "uh....(good 8-12 second pause or more) i guess that guy.. he did some work on entertainers, but he's on jedi now"

If i were you i'd say don't worry about askin any questions. Honestly their seems to be no point to it. On the upside I met panthu and she was nice, though I heard i have quite a rep on these forums lol! Guess I'll have to quite down some on here hehe

I am nice. /poke ... and you do, heh.

That was Keldarin on both accounts and he is also the Dev Bob quoted in the FS post answering my question in the Jedi forum. (yeah, figure that out )

I don't think any of this was secret, it was all said in public... but, Keldarin didn't "forget to include us", he really doesn't think we fit in with the Healers. He said there was no way to add Dances and Songs to the FS trees (remember, these are just little skill mods, not all the cool crazy stuff we can imagine)... my response in the Jedi forum was "Ok, yeah, I know how you feel about Ents and Healing, but since we do have Healing, can we get in on that FS line?"

He rolled his eyes and said yes he'd look into that. So there you go. Full story. Take that information and run with it for your TH Q my Musician friends! *snicker*

I'd better get back to the Dancer forum before NewJedi kicks me out. Anyway, NewJedi knows Keldarin much better than I do... I really was a little fuzzy on some of his Ent views until FF. I think I have a clue now, but I'm still no expert on Dev speak. Good luck NewJedi! We'll be watching your answer again.

(I think Dancers are going with the overall Ent Role Q, heads up )

... Which is pretty ironic, as we can't tell that at all sinceonly the client can.

I don't expect the DEVs to be aware of that though.

How bout this, please nobody suggest buffing at starports, in the med center, under a tree, on the john, or whatever. Cantinas are supposed to be a social place, remember? Why don't we just allow everyone to do everything at any time at any place? How about we abolish skill points? How about letting everyone be a Je...oh wait, never mind.

Seriously though, if the newly delayed smuggler revamp doesn't kill my love for this game, the Force "enhancing" of our skills might just be the fatal blow. I really think they have their minds set on everyone using the Force to be better(enhance) at their non-Jedi professions. Without going into a lot of detail, I'll just say the idea blows. I don't want to be a gypsy smuggler or a swammi musician, I just want to be a smuggler that smuggles and a musician that can do something besides finding a spot in the AFK Cantina and play something besides Star Wars 1 when in a group. How about we lose the Jedimania and concentrate on our professions? We've got a neglected and near worthless profession here, and we're thinking about asking Jedi related questions? Ask about getting rid of AFK'ers, buffbots, the Hutt themepark/quest, new songs, instuments that don't sound the same, experimenting on instruments, a musician outfit(like the dancer's leotard, isn't one supposed to be coming?), or ask about flourishing to make a song sound better, instead of just tapping or macro'ing random flourishes.

Hmm, might not be a bad idea to coordinate our questions - you're in the same boat as us, after all (well, to use the comparison brought up somewhere else here, we're not in a boat at all, but rather locked in steerage on the big ocean liner that is SWG )

Panthu, you're very welcome here. I didn't go to FF -- I live on the east coast -- but I have had many dealings with Keldarin. He's a good guy.

While I couldn't care less about Jedi, I think now is the time to ask Jedi-Musician related questions. It's a matter of principle for me, I'm not keen on seeing musicians and entertainers left out again...
