Wow...I didn't get the "point" last time I read about this. I thought you were saying they could heal their own mind wounds, which, essentially, I had no problem with. But, now that you've clarified it for me, I see that the Jedi Gaurdians of the future will now not only be elite uber combat professionals, but they'll be elite healers as well...with better healing than we get. Wow. What's the point of playing anything besides a Jedi anymore? Next thing you know, they'll be able to buff everyone and be able to make houses and swoop bikes too.

Blah...

Not everyone is or wants to be a Jedi, despite that popular misconception.

Well, my Jedi on TC2 can't heal anyone of anything yet, but he's just a newbie Jedi. I thought the relevant healing tree permitted us only to heal ourselves, but I'll look again tonight.

Once people see the Jedi skill tree, a lot of them will bail. It takes 200,000 Jedi XP to get your first skill box in light saber. I earned, um, 250 Jedi XP last night.

Well, Jedi are going to be a lot more common after the revamp. It's no longer going to be a wild goose chase. There will be many more Jedi. The only reason I'd suggested asking about the Acrobat profession, or Force-sensitive entertainers, is that those things are just around the corner, and if we wait til after they arrive, it may be too late to influence how they look. Of course, it's probably too late already.

I don't object to asking about AFK'ing, or more generally "when are you going to pay some attention to us." If that's what most people want, that's what I'll ask, and there are certainly quite a few votes for it here. I just know what the answer will be. I'm not sure I know what the answer is about Jedi, FS-entertainers, or acrobats. I'm quite confused about it all. But you're right, the Jedi details probably won't be important to the majority of entertainers, though I'm not entirely sure about that.

I have decided.

We should ask something in regards to the FS skills.

This is from the dev panel transcript in the Jedi forum:

Q: Entertainers have no force sensitive skills that apply to them. Will that change?

A: We had a hard time figuring out something that FS skills could enhance. They're considering adding to the healing line for Entertainer Healing. Not a lot other than that, that has a tangible effect mechanically (nothing that can increase socialization, for example, or Image Design, materially).

I say buff duration.

I would like to know why the devs thought it was important to place a timeron switching instruments. Now all of the songs that I have spent hours on composing with words to music and instrument changes has gone right down the toilet. Of course, you could only do the switch if you were grouped in a band, now with the droids we can use it's possible to have a really unique solo show if the timer could be removed. I think instrument changes is an important aspect on setting the true entertainers apart from the afker's. Was it their way of fixing some buff exploit? Fix the buffing system, don't make musicians even more useless when they can't provide excellent entertainment because they have to wait 20 seconds to change from their traz to their chid while their droid pumps out on the bandfill.

How about, when will you be making the musician profession more useful in the gcw/pve (which would also give us more to do) by providing us with the ability to soothe the savage beasts while out in the wild. A mez would be a nice ability and musicians just might be called to keep a group entertained while they get next day's dinner. If combat medics can poison the mind while in battle, why not allow the musician/dancer to keep a group from getting seriously mind blown from the effects?

I'm sure I could thinkof a few more things, but any love that can be given to musicians is appreciated.

I think it was to stop the 30-second speed buff exploit. (Though one could argue that the minimum 2-minute listen/watch time took care of that.)

Yes, the timer was to stop not only the speed buff exploit, but perhaps more importantly, the XP exploit that went with it.
I just wish they hadn't made the delay quite so long.

LeBob, I agree,I think it makes sense to ask about buff duration as a FS skill. My only worry about that is that it might mean us non-FS entertainers will be stuck with two hours for all eternity, but we probably are anyway.

the ironic thing is that the ONE developer that worked on entertainer is now on jedi.... though he completed it in 2 weeks, i guess he didn't see it fit to include the entertainers in that new jedi tree...

what makes me more sad then that was this... at Fan Fest I asked a dev "who's the entertainer dev?" the reply: "uh....(good 8-12 second pause or more) i guess that guy.. he did some work on entertainers, but he's on jedi now"

If i were you i'd say don't worry about askin any questions. Honestly their seems to be no point to it. On the upside I met panthu and she was nice, though I heard i have quite a rep on these forums lol! Guess I'll have to quite down some on here hehe

so today is the day we submit our question right?

I'd ask something like...

With the recent additions of Forse Sensitive skill trees for the Jedi revamp, Entertainers (and elite Entertainers) have been left out. We would like to see this changed. Some of the recomendations are the following: BF healing mods, mind healing mods, buff duration, buff strength, self buff, [something for IDs], [something for base Entertainers],[etc.]. We are already at a disadvantage since nothing like this is already in P9 so there will be less time to test and debug it. Does the team consider these reasonable requests? When can we get these added? [?]

I don't know... I think healing mods would besomewhat uninterestingas a force sensitive bonus. I mean, master musicians and dancers heal fast enough, I don't think I would even notice if I had an increase of the healing mods...

LeBob, I'm not sure we're supposed to post our question today; I thought TH pushed everything back by one week, so that the other professions have their go today. Or did they already ask questions and get answers? I thought not; TH has been off at FF.

Unfortunately, it's taking me five minutes to look at any given message on this stupid Lithium board, so it's hard to check. I'll pop by again in half an hour or so; maybe this board will be useable then.
