Iwish I could say more about what's going on with JTL and TC, but I can only point you to the devs' public comments on the issue. Please, if you want to discuss JTL, or anything that is now arguably "part" of JTL or affected by JTL, let's do so in the JTL beta forums, or in JTL itself, but not here. Remember: we're bound by alegally binding non-disclosure agreement.

That said, I don't think the quests are untested. They were on TC for quite some time, freely available for testing. They became available in their most recent form two or three weeks ago, maybe longer. Plenty of people have tested the Musician quest, and so far as I know, no significant bugs have been uncovered other than those relating to people (like Fragpuppie) who had only partly completed the quest before. As far as I know, no one had any trouble finding Theater Managers during this testing. A bunch of us have also played the song quite a bit, both solo and grouped. It rocks! As far as I know, the only signficant issue with our quests is the XP requirement, and I've repeatedly told the devs most Musicians want it eliminated or chopped down. Any change to that requirement would indeed require further testing, but so far there's no indication there wll be a change. Apart from that, the Musician quests appear to be ready to go live.

The only truly bugged aspect of the quests, as far as I can tell, is the dance. Again, the devs should already be fully aware of the problem, thanks to repeated posts by Panthu and Pappi and other dancers.

So wait, now NO ONE can discuss our new content? It's been disclosed - it was in public TC only days ago.

Just when I thought they couldn't sink lower, THEY DID! They sure found a way to shut us up.

WOW.

Shutting up, I've learned my lesson - Entertainers shut up about your stuff or we'll sue you. They found a wonderful way of doing that, didn't they.

Who else has EVER had their new content for their profession sealed tight by a completely unrelatedNDA.

This just keeps getting worse. I'm quitting this profession entirely and going after Jedi. This is without a doubt the lamest experience I've ever had in this game.

So long, thanks for the memories.

I know it's frustrating. I know it downright sucks to be neglected for the Devs' baby, Jedi. Don't give up.

We've all been through a lot. We've endured player created NPCs taking our job. We've endured outright hostility from other players who feel we have no place in this game. We've endured silence from on high. We've endured being given hope for the futre, only to see nothing come of it.

And still we play on. THAT is the spirit of Entertainment. When so many have jumped ship, we are the Performers who stick to it, not for ourselves, but for the Music and those who can appreciate it.

So, to quote the movie, 'Titanic'... Ladies and "Gentlemen, it's been a privilege playing with you tonight."

The NDA covers beta testing - for a few days only TC is locked into JTL.

Once TC is opened to non-JTL accounts the entertainer quests will be public as they are non-JTL related.

We can of course still talk about the quests from out pre-beta experiences:

In short, the quests are fairly basic, but interesting. The song is AWESOME (especially with a mandovial). The dance is bugged (but so are other dances so we aren't sure what will happen with this). The quests are mostly tested from what I have heard, although I want to test an old bug that I haven't been able to confirm.

The Shiro Clan of TC -
...has successfully tracked Tiggs
...is still tracking down more bugs
NB: Any comments I make on TC code can and often do change
before they reach live and may not reach live at all, please read my
comments with that in mind.
