Just like any words picked by the devs, their song naming conventions are awful... SW1 sounds more like Rock then rock, especially with mando... who ever heard of a violin in rock music.... then this new Funk song doesn't sound remotely like funk music. Whoever named these seriously got their genres mixed up...
Violin in Rock....well I have. And the occasional flute or a personal favorite....bagpipes!
I do agree that SW1 sounds more rock than Rock, but the SW# series are all interpretations of SW themes and music whereas the others are just more generic and I feel mislabled examples of the genres. I mean ....Jazz? It is a form of jazz yes, but not really the one people think about when one says "jazz". Virtuoso is what I think of when someone says "jazz". The best labled ones I think are Ballad and Waltz. The chid on Ballad is a little too "Kenny G" for me, but you have to admit that Waltz is in 3/4 time and that is really the only requirement for a waltz. I think it also has a true waltz feel.
Ahh well...they are developers not cross genre musical professionals.

Correct! Here's another one..

dobadidoooo (dum dadaduuum) dobadidoooo (dum dadaduuum) do-ba-di-doooo (dum-dum-dum-duuuuuum)
Edit: Hmm.. ignore any weird spacing.. there should be two lines, as indicated by the coloring, and single spaces between subsequent sounds.
Nope! Here's a hint.. it appears in multiple movies.

The is precisely why I wish they would give actual names to the songs instead of genre names. Like name SW3 the Imperial March and such.

Question: since you said "These may start to get too tricky" - are these two separate songs? Or just one song?

No, there's no Xantha for the new songs yet.
And there's more than one application to hear the game music... Some of them are just a little easier to use than the others. (Those sound clips that started this thread weren't recorded from the game.. But the program I use is actually a UNIX shell script that isn't the most user friendly thing in the world.)

So what is IG songs remind you of RL music... I was listening to a song with a repeating horn riff on the radio and I thought to myself, "Who the hell forgot to flourish?!"
