Heh, yes, I do believe we sing-type in different 'tongues' .
I think I'm probably including some of the minor (meaning insignificant, not minor key) notes that your sing-typing skips.. at least from what I can gather from what you wrote there. It's always a tough decision for me whether a note is significant enough to put into sing-typing .

Haha, yes I know exactly what you mean.

First, thanks Tiaga for putting these up to listen to!

First impressions:

Funk: Heh, this kinda reminds me of "Walk, Don't Run" by The Ventures. Which you might have heard in the Pulp Fiction credits, I do believe. That is one savage Bandfill/Ommni Box, lol. The horn is pretty wild. I really like the Nalargon. This is morethe type of song I've wanted in Musician for awhile - the instruments flow together more and sort of intertwine on more levels. Not very Star-Warsy to me, but it's fun. You might be able to do some neat solos in that song, at different times. I like how the flourishes don't seem so predictable, which was one problem I've had with Western.

sw4: Wow, is that the Star Wars theme I hear in there? Ummm....wow! Pretty techno-pop though. Like techno-pop island music. The Nalargon sounds like steel drums. Could be some nice beach party music. I think I heard an electronic mouth harp in there, too - hahaha. Is that the Chidinkalu? Crazy.

Overall, really glad we're getting new songs. That's great, no matter what. We need lots more, but this is a good start. They'll be fun to play with.

Funk to me reminds me of the Peter Gunn theme by Mancini. I love it.

Pssst.....

*points to the start of this thread* Played by a full band.

Yea, Yea, Yea.....if you only knew how non simple that is.....

OK so I play on one system that has good multimedia...but doesn;t like to multitask. Then I have my forum system that hates multimedia, my alt forum system that would be great, cept its a laptop and I'd need phones for it, and lastly my GREAT multimedia system....that I never go to the forums on...I could but it was just easier to get into TC like I did and jam it with Scip.

Ahh well.

i would just like to point out that only in a musician forum could most of this thread make any sense whatsoever.

I am really liking funk, but will wait to try it. Either Tiaga is really good at syncing the flourishes together or this is a really good song - same with sw4,

I'm wondering if that coder who wrote that little application to hear music can update it for the new songs.......

(starts to dig in the old forum posts....finds the app done by "Taerin Markman, Eclipse")

And also...what ever happened to the Xantha.....there is music coded for the Xantha for Western...are there Xantha tracks for the other 2 new ones? Hrmmmmmm.

Just like any words picked by the devs, their song naming conventions are awful... SW1 sounds more like Rock then rock, especially with mando... who ever heard of a violin in rock music.... then this new Funk song doesn't sound remotely like funk music. Whoever named these seriously got their genres mixed up...

Name that (Star Wars) tune:
dom dom dom du du-dom du du-dom.

Imperial March!

Now this one!

du di du di dudi du didu
dubadidu badibadu du

LMAO
You're correct!

(And especially laughing at Esharra's comment!)

Okay, I was just pretty much going through the songs in my head (Trying to keep the laughter to a minimum) and I must say this one's not as easy as the Imperial March...

I'm going to say...

Duel Of The Fates!

LOL!

Let me know!
I might be wrong. In my mind, the spacing doesn't entirely match up, but the sounds and thier order are a perfect fit.

It's the Cantina Song (first one) from A New Hope. Technically, I guess you could say it's part of StarWars2 from in game, since that's based off the Cantina Song (first one).

I defer singing the next song to whoever wants to do the next, because I have a meeting to go to, and then it's off to home (where I won't be hopping online to post immediately!)

Correct! Here's another one..

dum dadaduuuuum dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum dadadum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum dadaduuuum
dobadidoooo (dum dadaduuum) dobadidoooo (dum dadaduuum) do-ba-di-doooo (dum-dum-dum-duuuuuum)

Edit: Hmm.. ignore any weird spacing.. there should be two lines, as indicated by the coloring, and single spaces between subsequent sounds.

Is this the Medal Ceremony music from the end of A New Hope?
