Not that anyone really cares, but last night, after 1 1/2 weeks of not so hard work, I achieved the pinnacle of the musician proffesion. I became a master.

Well I actually called your attempt to stop macros that doesn't even worklame.

Speaking of skill, does master musician require you to do anything other than equip an instrument, start a song, and press a flourish hotkey every few seconds? And you wonder why people AFK macro to get through it.

I just wonder what makes you so proud of your master title. Do you think you will have more fun now ? What exactly has changed for your gameplay, that makes it fun now when it wasn't before ? You as the player have the choice to make your gameplay fun, or not. You did not manage for 24 skill boxes, why do you think the final box will suddenly grant you fun ?

Nothing to be proud of, I'm close to master myself, I saw every XP tick to get both my dancing and music trees where they are now but I'm not proud. Everywhere I go I'm just viewed as a Macroer even though I never AFK'tained. I wish I could just surrender my Dance healing skills so that I have enough XP to learn master then I can have fun with my guild members instead of moving around to earn my last bit of healing XP.

And SOE does not want you to AFK your way up, that is why they killed the bandflo XP to try and stop the AFK levelling, pointless just like the whole entertainment professions.

I don't see the point anymore, I work my butt off to try and entertain and even in anchorhead being grouped with 6 AFK macros, 2 master dancers and a master musician, people listen to the lone AFK droid that went AFK before he typed /join.

Do you even read the posts or just pick out a single sentence and ignore the rest? I already showed why "macros or other programs" defines macros as aprogram and that I believe the in-game macro system is not a program. Thus [...]

Well, from my point of view, any reasoning that springs from the belief that the word macro in the EULA references a third party tool like a word or excel macro and not the in-game macros is wishful thinking. A macro is a macro and the first things that comes to mind thinking of SWG and macro is the in-game macro. What macro do you think it could possibly mean if not in-game ? Is SOE afraid of Word-Cheaters ?

Your reasoning:
(any) Macro = program
(swg) Macro != program

huh ? A macro is a macro. Not more or less. If an SWG document references something called a "macro", I would think the logical conclusion would be that this means SWG macro. The second conclusion might be that it references any macro. Comming to the conclusion that it references anything but an swg macro is not really logical.

I agree that wording it "third party macro or third party program" or "macro or third partyprogram"would clear up a lot in both directions. But communication isn't exactly one of SOEs strong points. I don't think SOE even knows what communication means.

Where did I say any macro that wasn't part of SWG was a program? Certainly I think some are, such as third-party programs that do nothing but run macros or key captures, which I think is what the EULA refers to. I don't that embedded macro systemssuch as in SWG or Excel are "programs". Nice try at making stuff up to defend your weak argumentthough.

I won't argue with you any longer, it's fruitless. Consider it a victory if you must.

Unattended gameplay is cheating in any MMORPG I know and it is part of this MMORPGs EULA, though not enforced yet and maybe poorly worded ( though I think the wording is fine, but I'm not a native speaker ). I cannot do anything to convince cheaters that they are wrong. If someone could, there wouldn't be any. Greed is a natural human trait and will always beat morals and laws for some.
