Take a look at the definition. The Mando is Available. I can make them by the 100's. SOE stated something. They stated that an MM could play all instruments/songs. A statement like that is not considered "a bug". It may be something that they change but it is not a bug. For what you are saying to be true the statement would need to read "The Master Musician knows the songs and instruments available to the Master Musician class" or something like that...
The truth of the matter is that SOE states: "The Master Musician knows ALL the songs AND instruments AVAILABLE (period), AND has ALL (reading it?) the tools to put on a professional performance."
You cannot twist the statement. The only thing SOE can do is fix it or state that they "Changed their mind".
Agreed. We pick the Musician skill, not for the money, but the pure love of music and sharing it. It makes sense when they say "A MM can play all inst and knows all songs...."
All these entertainers scared of losing out on something should know that I dont think anyone wants them to lose these abilities. Someone pointed out that you can get one of the Carbine goodies in Carbineer OR BH. This is what I think would be acceptable. Though I have no intention to dance I would also think that a MD should be able to do ALL the dances... it IS their MASTERED profession.
dancers loose 2 versions of a dance they already have so they loose nothing by not mastering.
Musicans loose one of the best instruments and one of the best songs.
I think its a horrable waist of skill points to mater ent isince they are forcing us all into combat rolls because they figure master musicians/dancersshould not make any money on the entertainer missions...
think its BS that we loose 2 unique things to entertainer master.
With ME and MM you still have enough skillpoints to master a elite combat tree.
And if people want the song and instrument so badly why don't you go ME to get it, it's a tradeoff, you wan't to be able to play them or you want to go out and be the best marksman there is. Musician / Combat drone. It's a choice.
We have one in our band that has made the choice of not taking ME, so she can't play the Mando or Ceremonial, and that's fine with her and us, then she can rest up when we do Ceremonial at our gigs.
It should not be a trade off of that nature. Dancers trade off nothing by not mastering.
Except the two dance variations, which look much better in the basic form than the originals, which look stumbly and choppy. Being able to look more professional doing Formal or Footloose is a loss, since most Dancers can't unless they master Entertainer. Which I've done, and enjoy the two dances, the instrument, and song greatly. ![]()
And I still have enough points to start up the Pistoleer skilltree.

"The Master Musician knows all the songs and instruments available, and has all the tools to put on a professional performance."
The key here is that it even says "available" rather than "knows all the songs and instruments". To me, this could impy that this statement means that all the instruments available to a musicain or perhaps a master musician. If the first sentence read
"The Master Musician knows all the songs and instruments available in game. or in the galaxy," then it would be plain that a misrepresentation had taken place.
Unfortunately, it's not worth much. If we use the definition of "available" that you suggest, the statement becomes a tautology.
"A musician knows all the songs and instruments that a musician knows"
