I'm not going to argure about what should and shouldn't be considered a dance or a song. You want to be happy to have what you consider an equal number of dances and songs already, ok, be happy. I'd rather see more variation of the songs as well as new songs to play.
I'm not arguing against more variety. Give us more music! Give us more dances! Just that most dancers don't consider the 2 variants to be different dances. It's not that they are just similar, the flourishes are identical. So if you look at dancers and see 20 dances, you're seeing a lot more uniqueness than is there.

I suppose its a matter of perspective. I am veiwing this in the fantasy world where the developers make the existing dances and songs to be unique or at least a variation on a common theme that is unique enough to stand on its own as a seperate song or dance. Should that miracle ever occur, then indeed the disparity is there. In the end, we both want the same thing, more variety in the songs and dances, as well as an increase in the number of each.

Another thing...
I really hope the new songs won't be too "Snappy"!

Nice changes, I'm excited. Yeah it isn't the revamp, yeah it isn't an AFK fix, yeah yeah yeah. So what it is some excellent fixes and new content and that is something to cheer about. It doesn't mean that I will let up on my desire to remove AFK or add even more content but it beats nothing and it certainly is "exciting news" as promised.
Lighten up folks, if you can't enjoy enhancements because you are so bitter about the whole thing then take a break. I'll enjoy the new content, the way I can improve my existing content and performances thanks to no delay, and the way Imaji's performances will improve because she doesn't have to equip a weapon to perform and doesn't flail if she is slighty off on timing on several dances. Then I'll get back to working with the other entertainers to continue asking for more improvements.
Thank goodness they are actually working on our professions functionality. This is several recent patches that included a fix for us, you know how long CH, Ranger, and Smuggler have been waiting for any improvements? And all the rangers got was a bonus to harvesting if they are in a group, woohoo.

That's what I meant to say...
My forum-speek isn't working as well as I'd like today.

Technically speaking that is correct. However, dancers in effect have more of a palette to play with because dances can be mixed far more effectively than music can without breaking the flow. I just want more for both

I know not of what you speak. i have never been a dancer, so i am not sure what you mean.
and really guys, its not what our number one topic is but they are fixing some of our top 5 issues. I certainly would like more but, wow, i mean we are getting 2 new songs.

just realized im sounding too optimistic. it doesnt go well with my normal feelings on musician. so please fill in the blank with a pessimistic comment.

but really, I know we all want more. It is human nature to strive for more, but we must look at the fact that they are giving us 2 new songs. no quest thank god for them. Does this complete our profession? no, but it is a start.

I am rather happy to be getting some new songs! I just hope that SW4 is better than the other Star Wars songs (especially SW1)

I'm very excited. This will get me playing for another couple of weeks. Then I'll quit again when I get depressed from realizing I'm the only one in the cantina of 30 avatars that is actually enjoying the new content.

As a reminder, you really need to test SW1 with a Mandoviol hehe, worth trying ^^

I really think most dont like SW1 because it is played so much. it really isnt that bad of a song when played by professionals.
