I linked it (such as we can) on the 23rd:

And I'd love to keep it going!

Lots of good here, I agree. I will not state what i have heard in most post money, scale, ability...I agree 100% with all of those.

1) Whom ever brought up the Reputation bar idea I think it's brilliant. Your reputation grows with every quest you do or even better with every person that listens to you during the quest NPC and PC alike...more points for PC's. Reputation should get you mroe money at gigs, and perhaps have them come after you.

2) Singing need to have some effect on a preformance beyond being used to increase a top size. I think it creates a better preforming enviroment and should tie into the #1 by increasing reputation.

3) The Tour idea I think is great. Try this on for size. Have a tour created and upon completing a tour you receive a new song you cannto get anywhere, then a new instuement. As the tour get harder, you get the better stuff. This would be an easy way for the devs to easily transition new songs/instruments into the game.

4) And oldie, the status bar. heh I have not done a gig/entertainer mission in quite some time, but from what I have gathered (which could be entirely wrong) this still has not been made a reality. Please correct me on this if this has been created.

5) Playing private parties for NPC in they place of living/working, like the rebel bases on corellia/rori, the retreat etc.

6)Provide cool rewards for some gig quests, like the speakers you get from the criminal/rebel base. Since these are just decoration, can we not also get mics? Perhaps other musical props?

The most important thing for me would be missions on other planets which would (almost) pay for the travel ticket (if you got 2 to the same place).

I myself do not convince it would be good idea... but i hope this would be good for our discussion:

How about adding scores of new songs and/or new instruments? (I'm sure that reward problem that others said must be rebalanced 1st)

The logic is that:

1) You have to have completed at least [$num] of gig missions from terminal (100 or so?)

2) If you did and if you are some skilled Musician, you have chance to get the special offer of gig mission fromsome static NPC. "The Musician" would be suitable for this work?

3) Do that well, the NPC will give you one of scores and instruments (completely random)

4) One NPC gives you only one (or several, pair of score/instrument) mission. You have to find other NPCs over the galaxy or contact folks for trading at Cantina, our home

This forces us to do lots of gig missions and this may not be good. But the basic of basic of us is the communication with others, i believe. Macroing Master may hate this (because they can't get ones from macroing), and this is potential of the Way to get the skill/sill-based items, away from Skill tree.

ability for missions to go to player shops.....i own a cantina and would love to request a musician dancer to come out. if they can get mission xp and cash that would provide incentive for entertainers to leave the big cities and visit out of the way places that need their services.

I'd just like them to be for other planets and ALMOST cover the (one-way)travel costs. I am fine with needing to make a bit a tip money to stay liquid, but too often the expensive places are just empty.

The amount entertainers get for missions right now is just down right sick. 130 credits for about 20 mins(I really haven't timed this, but it seems like around this much time.) of work is just lame as all hell. If you took artisan crafting missions, in 20 minutes you'd make close to or a little over 6000 credits. In 20 mins how many tips are you going to make average? Is that going to cover the 5870 credit difference in what you could be making? Then again if you are in the entertainment industry for $ then you have started the profession for the wrong reason.

Some form of quests for music gear/enhancements/whatever might be nice. Most entertainers don't go out and go on hunting sprees. Perhaps an autographed collectors Mandovil with lowered action useage or something.

First, I would make it possible for any player to book a musician using his datapad. He's on Dantooine, say, and he doesn't see any musicians there before he heads out on his mission. He plugs in the location of the cantina he wants and the amount he will pay; he plugs in a round-trip ticket to the Dantooine outpost he's at (let's say it's a ticket to the Mining Outpost from Coronet). He also deposits the money (and a processing fee).

The musician then goes to the terminal and sees the mission 'Musician Wanted On Dantooine!' and asks for details. The terminal says, 'Please insert X credits for ticket.' The musician buys the ticket and goes to the gig.

As the musician heals the player, the money is gradually paid out so that when the client's wounds are 0 the entire sum has been paid, and the musician is reimbursed for the cost of the ticket.

The client is informed once his mission has been accepted, and after it has been accepted he cannot cancel it and get his money back. Even if he does cancel it before it was accepted, he doesn't get the ticket back.

My original writeup of this was better. I had it figured so you could do this in groups where everyone can chip in a bit of money to the pot and any musician could go grab the mission. It would put the interactivity back into the economy. It would also make the players actually compete for the services of entertainers and the non-tippers would soon find themselves shut out.

Just a thought.

IMHO, the whole area of entertainer missions needs to be redone..

First of all lets look at the basic and largest money making missions in the game.. Destroy missions on a starting planet just outside the cities.. These missions typically pay between 400-600cr.. on average.. some more because they maybe be NPC camps or distance.. A person can normally solo beginning destroy missions at a rate of 2 missions in the same direction in about 20-30 minutes round trip.. Total payout = 1,000 cr. Even on Tatooine with some higher level novice marksman can earn about 900cr per mission..

What do entertainers have now at our disposal.. rather you are novice entertainer or a master musician/dancerALL the gigs are the same.. BOGUS.. you didn't do this for destroy missions, so why here? Anentertainer mission that is taken locally can normally be completed in about 15 minutes.. Total payout = 150cr. This is so unfair and so taxing on the passivenon combatant..How does a non combative entertainer that likes to play music, dance andID.. plan on making enough money to justify having a house in a player city and partake in the city activities or possibly owntheirown cantina.. There just isn't a feasable way to earn that sort of money..

I'm already figuring out that my Master Musician to own a cantina/ house in a player made city will costme 20K per week in maintaince and tax.... OK.. 20,000 is a hell of alotto cough upin a weeks time.. How am I suppose to host my cantina if you are forcing me to join in on destroy mission to pay for this?

Personallymissions need to be changed and rewarded fairly.. and I"m not talking aboutgiving Master Musician's mission in the area of 400cr either.. A mastermusician should be able to earn 2-5K per NON-AFK hour of playing doing missions, or working out a salary system in cantina's.. TIPS not included..

Thanks for all these suggestions. I've drawn the devs' attention to this thread. At least, I think I have...

Well I was thinking that if the devs would let you work at the cantina that you are at like a job and you get paid by the hour and the higher your skill the higher the pay!!!
