In an ideal world there would entertainers in all cantina's but its going to take alot more then removing afk entertaining to get that to happen.

Removing hologrinding and AFK macrotaining is the solution to most of the problems we have as entertainers.

You see, before the holowhores started entering the profession, you could find entertainers virtuallyeverywhere in the galaxy. There were bands and dance troupes who would travel around the galaxy playing in every cantina on every planet. Some people were so great at the craft of entertaining they had groupies who would follow them from town to town. (Remember Bluesbacca from Starsider anyone? Yeah, even he's been driven into hiding.)

There are people who still love this profession and who are hiding in the wings, AFK macroers haven't driven the love for entertainment from us fully. We can...we CAN come back from the dark times in which we find ourselves, but every day another entertainer loses hope, another star blinks out of existance. At this point I believe we can rebuild, but the time is coming when, if AFK macrotainers continue to exist, we will no longer be able to recover.

The entertainer will soon become extinct, their fire will have gone out of the universe, and we will have lost something beautiful.

Tonight there was a stinking shouting buffbot in the Theed cantina. They are taking over everywhere. I am so disgusted with SWG that it comes to this. That they let 24-7 afkers take over our profession. What is the use of having a profession an AFKer can take over? I don't know if I can stay an entertainer any longer, I find it too upsetting watching the profession sinking into this abyss. I don'tknowif people come into the cantinas even expecting to find live entertainers anymore. There is no respect for live entertainers. And I'm not going to pay 15 bucks a month to be an afk bot entertainer, although there seems to be plenty others willing. I am not going to cheapen myself even being in the same place as a computer program doing my job. I have almost all my skill points tied up in entertaining and its just not worth it anymore. I may as well be in a combat proffesion and then I won't mind the buffbots... but as it stands now, the profession has cheapened too much for me to be a part of it...

I dropped Master Musician this morning, all but the knowledge tree intill I need those SP too. Also cleared out what I wanted in the PA hall so it can be demolished. The gigs were fun but too far apart to justify tieing up all the SP in a AFK profession. I give up as I see no hope. Lots of good stuff mentioned in the SWG flyer to keep me in the game but most require other skills than Mstr Musician and I really doubt the Jabba cantina thing will be worthwhile, I mean come on, the entertainer quests are laughable.

Maybe I'll go for TKM... at least that will keep me occupied...

I'm not so sure Dozee, I have seen nothing that its being addressed or if they even care about it. Sure, one lil statement saying its not what they intended it to be, butnothing about fixing it in a timely mannor. Every week is worst then the week before. I have hung in there a long time, even to the point where I had no desire to even log on... With all my SP tied up in entertaining, what is there to do while I wait? As far as it being a social field, heck, there is more socialization in the field then the cantinas with all the afkers.. Live entertainers aren't needed in SWG any more...
