Echinacea: Yeah, you've put your finger on the dilemma. One possible help would be to let us heal mind damage in the field -- not just mind wounds, but the blue bar in combat. If we were allowed to craft and use holostims, that wouldn't seem any more bardlike to me than the magical "stims" that docs and combat medics use. If Star Wars tech allows you to heal 1000 points of body damage with one injection, why shouldn't it allow one to heal 1000 points of Mind damage too? I know not all Musicians are wild about this idea, but man, it would sure give us something more to do.

The problem with that one, NewJedi, is that that's now the realm of Squad Leaders. Honestly, Squad Leaders do what in other games would be Bardic things. /snicker But anyway, since they've given mind damge healing over to Squad Leaders, I figure that's closed to performers now.

Hell, I'll hang back in a camp and play if the range was increased! I went along on a hunt/mission bonanza last night with some friends, and since I've got basic Medic skills, I ran around stimming everyone. Not much else I could do with zero combat skills. A couple people joined mid-stream and I was able to attend to their copious mind wounds, but it still chaps my arse that I can't heal fatigue in a field base that's sophisticated enough to have a friggin' crafting station.

Echinacea, I just read a proposal for a droid that would permit entertainers to heal BF anywhere, akin to the medical droid. I kinda like that idea. What do you think?

I read the same post, there was talk of a droid similar to the probot that allows a doctor to heal wounds everywhere at any time.
