Thread: How long does it take to macro master musician?
As per the original question, I agree that the entire process can take as long as a week. Depending on how long you play, 7-14 days would be a pretty reasonable estimate to earn all the XP needed to master the profession. The real limiting factor is usually healing XP, since that has to be brought to you by other players. It helps if you can do one of the following: get a CM to mind poison volunteers, have someone killed multiple times (without being cloned to get the wounds), or have volunteers sample radioactive. I've seen people pay for these services as well.
And if you are going to AFK, do not put any /say or /shouts in the macro at all. I'd also suggest having a /join so you can be part of whatever entertainment group is at your venue, if they want to add you to the group.

Holo grinders dont adversely affect the "real" entertainers, only the whiney unresourceful ones.
Ive said it before and ill say it again, if youre not good enough at your profession to come up with ways to draw your own crowd, or bring in your own business (Buffs etc) then youre not that much of an entertainer.
I didnt have much trouble getting some business and tips in the middle of the Coronet cantina even when there were 30+ holo grinders in there.
And even before holo grinders started to appear most of the master musicians and dancers that I saw were COMMONLY afk. So all youre mad about is that you cant go AFK and get tips anymore (Because now youre just like the holo grinders). Youre just mad that you have to stay at your keyboard and put on a show to keep your audience, either that or you never did put on a show and theres no difference between you and someone who's afk, so your mad that your audience realized this.
/whine /whine... /whine /whine.
Shut it drama queen, your not the center of attention anymore. Its your own fault, try being entertaining and you wont have any problems.

Or better yet a FAQ could be made for the holoentertainers (similar to 90% of the other forums) to answer these little questions for them and avoid "people" having to be rude and hateful to someone just trying to "Do what THEY want in game" instead of "YOUR bias version of a perfect swg". Now this is just my personal opinion on the matter but you would think a correspondent would have an ounce of professionalism.
Here's the thread he actually stickied: Entertainment for the aspiring Jedi
However, you may notice this thread was necroposted. When the thread was started, I wasn't a correspondent, nor did I even know I would be before the last two posts I made. Only before the last post I made was I officially in the role. (Found out 5pmish on 1/13, was given the title 2pmish on 1/14).
If you're going to flame me, at least pick something with meat instead of digging up old threads to do so.
