For an initial list of things needing testing, I'm using a list Warryyr compiled in the CU forums. I'll adjust this list as new ideas come up, as tests become irrelevant, and as tests get prioritized.
- Do we heal Battle Fatigue anymore? How is the rate of healing? Too fast/too slow? - Yes we do. Anyone have any comparisons on heal rate between live and CU?
- What kind of buffs can we apply? What is the value of any such buffs? - Inspiration buffs. Seem to be enjoyed by many; value is hard to determine in this test environment though. Since it is our most basic skill now, and passive, probably won't be considered of high value.
- What's the fastest way to apply a buff? How does buffing even work? - The more info we get here, the better.
- How are our skill trees changing in regards to Mind Wound healing? Will those skills be replaced with anything? - Thus far, no changes.
- How is levelling? Is the rate of healing enough to provide adequate xp? - Again, hard to determine in this test environment, but seems there is much less opportunity for healing xp now.
- How does flourishing work? Can we still perform for extended periods of time without having to stop? - We use the new action bar, which regens quickly enough for us to never have to worry about our flourishes.
- What effect do the changes have on our ability to earn income? - Another hard one to quantify. We only have a passive skill: it's more hassle free and less "absolutely necessary" which is conducive to tipping; it's completely passive and can be done easily by a novice entertainer and AFK entertainers, which is not conducive to tipping.
- Does Accarragm still help us? - It's certainly not needed now, but has anyone determined what effect it has?
- How are things from a combat perspective - will riding between cities end up with us dead too often? - Right now it looks like it's extremely dangerous and you end up being one-shot incapped, due to not having armor certs and having no combat level.
- Do camps still let us perform any game mechanics (e.g. buffing)?
- Do droids still provide effects and playback properly, with Health being the primary stat? - Anyone tested this yet?
- Are there still passive and active buffs, and do they work properly? - Just a passive buff thus far, inspiration buffs. They seem to be quite bug-free from the reports I've heard.
- Does music function properly (Flo's and Bandflo's)? - So far so good on my watch; anyone encountered problems?
- Is extended AFK play still possible? - Yes
- Can armor still be equipped to enhance performances asthetically? (NS Bicep, other armors) - Not without an armor cert. Esharra's making moves on the NS Bicep in particular. We've been bringing up the decorative armor thing in general quite a bit as well, though so far there have been no movements toward allowing it.
- How fast does Battle Fatigue build up, and what effects come from high Battle Fatigue? - All reports are that it does not build up nearly as quickly as it did on Live. I've heard vague reports of it not having much effect in high numbers, but I'd like something more concrete if possible.
- When equipping armor while performing (for example a Fencer/Musician who uses his certed armor), does it affect our ability to flourish? (as encumbrance does currently) - Anyone try this yet? Frogs should help test this.
A bump for those testing.. here's the initial list, mainly from Warryyr. I'll try to think of any extra tests to add, but feel free to add your own as well.
