Thread: Instrument Prices
Some are around Desti's price, but I think the major instrument makers move enough instruments as is. As I really only sell within the bazaar system, prices scale between 150 for a slitherhorn to 3000 for a Nalargon. As otherwise stated, it also depends on the attitude of someone asking me to make an instrument for them. Keep on rocking!

Tech does not give you the ability to play the instrument. it gives you the ability to make it. I had to climb tech then knowledge back and forth because I was the first. But the fastest XP route is to buy your instruments from a master and climb the Knowledge tree first them come back and do the tech tree at a higher xp rate.

Anyway I was talking to you... I wasn't saying you are wrong or anything, but like I said I am not buying an instrument from Master Musician, I like to craft it on my own!
Why am I this cheap, you ask?
Well, I am studying multi professions. (Argh, I only have like 60 some skill points left.) there are times I have to do very expensive stuff (Harvesters, etc) and I certainly don't have millions of credits (I wish I do
) so buying one is not an option right now. I also haven't found on on the bazzar that's really cheap either

When I became a master onyl one other was makign instruments, Blondz in Mos Eisley. So I kept his prices so to A) not snafu any market he may have and B) to try to continue the market without destroying it.
Here's my prices on local bazaars
Fizz - 500
Fanfar - 700
Kloo Horn - 1000
Traz - 1500
Bandfill - 1700
Chid Horn - 1800
Omni Box - 2000
Mandoviol - 2200
Nalargon - 3000
At my shop, I sell things cheaper, usually around the the price for the instrument below.
If you want to do it the hard way thats your choice. Feel free to buy every single skill in the music line from a trainer if you want to as I did. But think about this. The difference in the ratexp you will recieve and a novice musician who climbs the tech tree first vrs someone with Knowedge IV who then does tech = 21.5 hours or so of play time (rough guess for 625k xp at .5 the rate). In those 21.5 hours of play time you could do deliver or destroy missions and make alot more money than you would even come close to spending on buying the instruments. Oh and if you want to buy it all from trainers as I did you are looking at 145,100 credits paid to the trainer.
Novice Musician XP = Novice Musician with Tech IV
The Tech line adds 0 xp the only think that will increase your xp rate is climbing the Knowledge

LOL Sweaty... don't you feel a little guilty selling the lower end instruments for that much? hehe There still are a lot of newbies you know - the game's only been out a month!
A few weeks ago on Chilastra, I couldn't sell instruments at a good price because of price wars. Lately, though, the instrumentmarket has rebounded; there are relatively few people crafting them now, or so it seems. So my prices have risen accordingly. A rough accounting:
Slitherhorn - 175
Fizz - 350
Fanfar - 450
Kloohorn - 600
Traz -800
Mandoviol - 2000 (OK, overpriced, but they still sell slowly, and that wood is tough to come by)
Bandfill - 1000
Chin Horn - 1000
Ommni Box - 2000
Nalargon - 3000 (though I just got talked into selling two for 250 each to a guy who supplied all the materials)
-NewJedi (a/k/a Ricky Starwalker, Chilastra)
Just writing to encourage musicians not to be afraid of buying their own harvesting equipment and power generator to make instruments. Most artisans won't sell you many materials because they tend to use it all themselves, and it can be a pain to find what you need on the bazaar (not to mention expensive). Last week before going on vacation I had bought some equipment to harvest wood and metal for me, then made 20 instruments and put them on the bazaar (all types of instruments). When I got back from vacation, I had sold all 20, and made about 25K in sales. The harvesting equipment I bought cost me a few thousand for all of it, you can buy them on tarq for around 1200 per installation.
Just a thought... in case anyone was feeling intimidated or unsure about how to get lots of supplies!
Are you kidding me?
Seems overpriced to me!
well if you consider that its a one time purchase item its almost underpriced but that is the price that the market will bare so that is the price i sell it for.... if it was overpriced i wouldnt sell out or b close to selling out daily
