Thread: Thunderhearts response on a top 10 entertainer issue
TO the person who complained about the shuttle jumping to find an entertainer as an argument FOR AFKing, I have afew points to make.
Thenext time I find one of these AFKers in a remote location will be the first. They aren't doing that to help me, by putting entertainers where people might need them when they aren't playing, they are all in Theed, Bestine, Anchorhead, and Coronet grinding XP. You know what else? I never had a problem finding entertainers in those Cantinas anyway before the AKF epedimic. So I'm taking the same shuttle rides and getting a LOT of lag for my trouble to do it with so many people logged onto one place. Don't try to give me the "AFK is helping you" arguement, because it doesn't hold water. AFK does not help me, it helps the people doing it only.
So please, spare me the "We're only doing this to help everyone" semantics. I'm not interested in lame justifications for people leveling in their sleep, making all of our ping worse so they can be master whatever 2 hours quicker.
Thanks for playing.
Sadly we have discussed debated this for what feels like forever.
Until this effects combat classes noone cares. If this was an afk group hunting krayts oh the cry you would hear!!!!
Every effort has been made by experienced players regarding this issue. Devs have made their bed.
Demographics and game saleswill tell the tale...
the only way to target a player when afk is to use an external program (which is against the EULA) fighters types do have afk macros that run all the time as well.. and yes they require outside help macro help... if your person is afk and giving buffs... tell a csr and get their butts kicked out.
and yes we have afk tainers in some cities on far out planets...
you say travel to where the entertainers are... i would say it takes 20 mins to make the trip in many cases and that is each way... i play 1 hour a day so a 20 min trip each way = 40 of my 60 mins... oh real fair guys!

Yeah, please report all those people using /join and /ui action targetGroup in their macros for using an external program. Maybe if you do it enough they'll boot your for constantly reporting people for nothing.
