The question should be:


When you take into account the last answer,buffbots, AFKers, lack of content, bugs, the theatre issueand chef foods; why should anyone want to play an entertainer in this game?

How about:


Will some new Force abilities be implemented for Entertainers that will allow us to actually appear to the Devs as a profession that genuinely needs some attention, and we deserve non-pandering responses to genuine concerns like stolen/malfunctioning buffs and self-buffing?

As disgruntled as I am about the whole buff issue, I do remember one sentence in TH's answer:


"In the future, Keldarin wants to change the system and then it would be possible."


Is it possible to ask a question regarding clarification on what kind of changes they're looking at and a time frame? This was the one sentence that gave me hope for the future. But, if the future is 2 years from now, it hardly seems worth waiting for. There's also the possibility that I misinterpreted this statement and have it all wrong. After all, I was stupid enough to think that we were getting self buffs, it was just a matter of tweaking a few things.

If you don't mind, may I come into your thread, NJ, and refer everyone to a discussion we are having in the dancer forum regarding a possible question or two for the devs. . . Deila has several very well thought out ideas regarding the state of our professionwhich relates to musician, as well.

OK, Kirah, I'll trundle over to the Dancer forum now.


Then it's off to play my new TC2 Jedi, mwuhaha! He has no light saber; just a lot of musical instruments, lol. Last night I dueled a Jedi Padawan. The Jedi used Force Grip and a lightsaber. Me, I wielded a slitherhorn. /rofl


Anyway, keep those questions coming, folks.

I'd like to know what steps have been taken to address the automatic 'on' status of player structure cantinas and med centers so that they are not automatically listed as being staffed upon server reset.


Or when theaters won't suck for anything but a sniper post.


But who cares, really? The developers have, I think, shown that they don't.

You know, sadly, after reading all of the posts so far in this thread, I am pretty sure I already know the answers. And, I honestly can't think of any question that I have that I don't already know how they will answer. I'm not saying this to be negative, just to be realistic. I wish we could think of something that I don't know the answer to.

For what it's worth, I just logged onto TC2 for the first time; heh, I'm Force-Sensitive. The server crashed before I chose all my Force-sensitive powers, but I sure didn't see anything that sounded like it helps entertainers. There is Luck and Persuasion, but I have no clue what those really do. Actually, I think I have two Jedi, so I'll use my Musician to take Luck, Persuasion, etc., and use my other to fight.


Also, I haven't had any dev reply to my thread about FS-powers in the Correspondent Forum, though I have had a dozen supportive replies from other Correspondents. Hmm.


Anyway, what do others think about our next question?

Heh...technically TK's can heal their own mind wounds as well. Doesn't bother me too much that Jedi can, I suppose.


But, I do think that is a good question. Formulated possibly like this:


Considering the fact that Entertainers are undervalued by the playerbase, the fact that a year from now everyone will have access to a completely afk battle fatigue healer and buffbot, and the fact that entertainers don't appear to be receiving any force sensitive skills in the revamp, is there any particular reason that a person who wants to play at the keyboard should take up entertaining as a profession?

Jedi have always been able to heal at least some blue-bar stuff: mind wounds or BF or both, I forget. Our local Jedi has never had a use for me.

I think that the only question worth asking is one that gets to the core of our problem. It needs to be hard hitting, concise and not leaving room for any sidestep and fluff. here are a few types:


When you launched the game you touted on the the interdependancy of the proffessions and how each had a role. As the game went on, you realised that chef and droid eng. really had no purpose. Those two proffessions got a revamp. You saw that smuggler really didn't play the part as a smuggler and your doing a revamp of that. The entertainer has not had a role for quite some time. Many of your "updates" and information releases have only hurt the proffession by causing more unattended gameplay to the point of getting in the way of those atk. This proffession doesn't need a revamp to be successful. All we need is to have some attention. The problem is that you seem to loath giving the entertainers attention. To date since launch you as a Dev group have responded to under ten threads in the entertainer forums, you have started two threads and never responded and you continue to give us brush off answers and brushed off dev time. You will probibly try to say the hutt casino will "fix" all of our concerns but they wont, and you wouldn't know since you avoid our threads like the plauge.In the 19 questions you stated that nothing would be done to our felllow entertainers (dancer) till after JTL because the devs are working on JTL. We pay for this game here and now... we have never gotten a true amount of dev time. When will we? What could we expect to acomplish from that time? We need to be fixed and we need it now... why do you pull developers off of the game were paying on if it means that we loose "service" JTL is a different game... get different devs on it and stop hindering completing this game for that one.
