The bandfill sounds the best with other instruments, so it would qualify as my fav. However, I use the Chid horn the most, simply because it has a treble line and a good tone on most upper level songs. It's good for me as I often play solo. I also love the mandoviol for its great flourishes, its a fun instrument.

Nalargon is cool but the targeting issue is a problem, especially if you want to be social.

Bandfill! My Master, Cla'ra used the Bandfill when we were entertaining together in Mos Entha, and I was totally jealous not only of the sound, but also of the fact that it had different /flos. I was so happy when I finally qualified for it...

A close #2 is the Mandovial. It's a refreshing sound that goes great solo as well as in a band.

1.) Mandoviol

It's the strings sound, much moreso than the guitar sound on SW1. I really love going for the chamber music sound in small combos or solo, and for that, the mandoviol is just perfect. It lends a verynice undertone to almostevery song as well.I'm a mandoviolist, through and through.

2.) Bandfill

No targeting issues, and this one instrument can make any song sound rich and full. For overall aid to a band's sound, this is the one - it's the rhythm section. It runs a close second for me to mandoviol, as I enjoy setting the underlying pacing to the music, as a good rhythm section should. It can singlehandedly switch up the feel for any tune it's on.... all with just one instrument.

1. Mando
2. Nal
3. Chi Horn

P.S. Teach the baseline to an entertainer droid if you can get one, then you can play your mando.
