1. Unattended Play must go. I no longer care how this is accomplished.
2. A vision statement. Without a vision statement of the role the devs have accepted for us in the interdependency and economy of the game, we have no framework from within which to determine if our desires for our profession are acceptable. We need to know what they want for us so we can determine, within that framework, what we want for us. Otherwise, we are likely to request changes that they will find wholey unacceptable.
3. Self-buffing.
3. Self-buffing.
5. Fix our bugs: /startband, /stopband, nalargon/ommni swiping, grouping with playback droids in space.
10. Aurellian village content for entertainers.
Nothing else matters.

I'm leaving the game, so I really don't care what happens to my account, and i'll lay it out nice and simple:
1) Content : The game for musicians and dancers is boring. We have basically what we got at launch with a few minor tweaks. We need something to do other than mash keys to perform a 10 second sound byte. Everything else is second to this.
2) AFK: Kill it. Remove the /flourish commands from macros, or better yet, do away with the system entirely. Until then, make longterm afking a bannable offense. You don't get a bad child to listen by lightly scolding them, you put your foot down.
3) SOE: Tell us why we have been more or less the red-headed stepchild of SWG, and what you plan to do to fix that.
I'm done.

1. Removal of AFK buff bots
2. Entertainer content! Since launch all I have had to do is stand in a cantina/theatre and press buttons 1 - 8. Yes I have created songs, yes I have been in a band, and I still do this, but this is still using and improvising on the system and content given to us at launch! I don't think any other profession has had to do this!
3. More songs and instruments (make all the instruments sound different)
4. A proper buff interface showing who is being buffed (this could be more than 1 person), time left till buff complete, the final buff stats when complete, and a secure trade for payment.
5. Allow newer entertainers to play more songs so I don't have to play SW1 and rock all the time (even if they do sound cool with the Mando). I don't mind switching to a lower song for a new entertainer, but it would be more fun and enjoyable to play more than one song. Make it so the XP is based on skill level or instrument level, not song level.
I think that covers my top 5 issues.

1) Stop unnatended skill annimating
2) New songs/instruments
3) Remove the ability of non-certified players to get the play instrument radial menu option on the Nalargon and Ommni Box
4) Fix the band (/startband - doesn't seem to start the person issueing the command, /changeband - bugs people not already playing, /stopband - doesn't seem to affect person issueing the command) commands
5) An auto kick for group member who go Link Dead

I disagree with removing /flourish from macros. Many of my songs have scripted flourishes that I would like to keep in the macro. Also, I like my /bandflo 5 bandfill; /bandflo 1 nalargon; /bandflo 3 traz; /flourish 8; type macros

For what it's worth, let's try to keep discussion in other threads if at all possible. I don't mind filtering discussion from responses to the poll, but I would hate it if this thread poofed due to flaming or anything like that. That cool with ya'll?

Basically, the problem is with the flourishing itself. Look at punk-o-matic. Taking sound clips, a cheap flash animation did what SWG tried to do, but succecced. If you created a simple number string like this and adapted it to use (would require a "composition" interface, meaning you will probably never get it), it would allow one person to determine the flourishes for the instruments in his band (I.e. have the band members "accecpt" to take the flourish commands from the leader) in a much cleaner way than is in existance now.

1. AFK. I think others have covered it, and it gets my vote also.
2. Buff interface. If nothing more than a box that says "You just buffed [name] for [amount of buff]." The amount should be a percentage, since that's what the buff actually is, and a straight number will not help me very much at all if I don't know what the original number is. But even if it's just confirmation of when the buff is complete, I'd still be happier than I am now, when I have to guess and rely on the (rarely present) intelligence of my customer to find out if I'm buffing at full potential.
3. Content. Stuff to do, instruments that sound different, songs to play*, doesn't that all fall under content? I think so.
4. Fix the Ommni and Nal. Why do they have to be targeted to play? I've never gotten a straight answer of whether this is a bug or intended, but either way it needs to go. Also, they should not be stealable. If I can't play the thing, I shouldn't be able to even get the 'use' option on it. Even if I can play it, 'use' shouldn't move it!
5. Some type of clothing that adds to mind enhancement (musical and dance) that is wearable by anyone that chooses to wear it. What genius thought up having clothing that only female dancers could benefit from?
*edited to reflect new changes announced

1. self-buff. if doctor's can do it...
2. boot the afk'ers. this is so obvious it need not be reiterated.
3. a way to cycle target players. this is perhaps my greatest pet peeve asi really want to entertain and sometimes flirt or whatever and in the sea of light blue, it is hard to target your target so to speak.
4. outside places to do buffs or heal. this could be done in such a way that the recipient might get a lesser buff outside or maybe it would take a longer time. perhaps it could be restricted to only being possible in cities. but the effect here would be to be able to "take the music to the people" and have something useful come of it as well. imagine a street performance at the coronet starport...
5. quality of instrument increases xp as well as the level of ent u are increasing payout at mission terminals. someone said it very well before, but if there is not going to be a benefit (such as more xp or whatever) to the fact that u used higher quality materials to craft your instrument, then get rid of this ability.
i really do hope at least some of what has been said here gets done. and not just the afk issue but something that is really beneficial to us!
