Thread: Musician Top 5 Issues First Draft
As pointed out the nal/ommni issue isn't likely to get fixed unless they overhaul they way objects are dealt with outside completely. So I would rather see the buff interface move to spot 5.
Here is my top 5 if you wouldn't mind plugging them into your spreadsheet:
1. Content, content, content - I feel that the developers could make use of EXISTING content such as the theme parks and giving entertainers a way to work through them. There have been many good suggestions in the past on storylines to implement this so I won't go into it here. But the big one has to be some way to improve your skills to one day play with the Max Rebo Band, perhaps filling in for the latest musician who went the way of the Sarlacc pit. Entertainers are also very well placed to play spies so that approach could be used for some of the other theme parks.
2. New songs and instruments/sounds for existing - I'm one of those musicians that has the sound turned on when I play so I can hear what I am doing and try different combinations to see what works and what doesn't. However, I really would love to hear something different be it a completely new song or a different sound for an instrument so I can play about with orchestration some more. In particular some sort of brass and more string instruments.
3. Buffing Interface - We need to be clear that someone is actually receiving the buff and how long to go before they receive the full buff, and an indication of what level they actually receive. Sure the timing isn't a huge issue as I can use my alias.. but fact is it is a half finshed system... please finish it
And I would also like to be able to buff myself.
4. More Crafting Options - Again many have suggested the idea of craftable holorecordings of music/dance that can be used out in the field and also music scores that can be shared with other musicains. I rather like the idea of providing musicians with another revenue stream and think this may be viable way of doing. They should not however heal BF or people won't return to the cities.
5. Missions - Yes the payouts are better but these really need to be more varied. Something like a 'simon says' style mission where you go and jam with a musician... learning new phrases by echoing what they do and getting xp and pay for doing so. Not being told the flos, but being forced to learn them so you can do well - put the skill back into it!
To me the theatre issue is part of number 1. It has always been sorely broken - if needed just scrap it and start again, but sort it out!
Thanks.
Thanks but I think it is more important for the devs to see this than us. The disparity between 1 and 2 should show them how significant the issue is. I know we keep telling them but some people take information visually much better than verbally (even written words). Maybe the picture provided by the graph will sink it home with them.

Ask, and ye shall (sort of) receive. I give you the graph of the weighted scores of the Musician top issues. Some of the item labels in the legend aren't complete or completely accurate, but I had in mind the true issue when tallying up the scores, and the items are listed in the same order as the list in the original post, so you can match it up that way.

Yes, show that graph to the Devs.

I'll make sure to get a graphical depiction to the devs. I might ascii-art it though, to avoid any too-busy-to-click-clickies syndrome.
Absolutely make it simple and unavoidable
