Twi'lek get Entertainment Healing bonuses which mean nothing in the end. And our Action secondaries are gimped compared to most races...
However we get LEKKU! The ultimate language, which only Twi'leks (and Smugglers
) can understand. It provides hours of fun... because you can talk about people while standing right next to them... and they have no idea (We don't actually do this though... we just say odd stuff to make them think we're talking about them, which is just as fun.
).
In the end, there is no best race. Don't play a race forthe bonuses itgives you, but ratherfor the fun you'll have playing that race, especially from an RP standpoint. Playing as a rambuncious wookiee is much more fun than trying to fit a rambuncious wookiee persona into a bothan... which actually would be quite amusing, if you could pull it off...
Anyways... play what you want.

"Oh, and the lekku are definitely cool. Super secret language. Nothing beats that."
Especially since everybody else thinks we're talking about them (what do they think group chat is for?)...

My entertainer is a rodian. I didn't choose his race based on any bonus or stat-range (although it's a welcome addition
). Rodians are just damn cool

I have a Rodian who's going for Master Entertainer. His Action is set pretty high, and his Quickness/Stamina are around 800 or more. He never needs a buff to play and flourish away (at least, a flourish every 4 or 5 seconds) and this has saved me a ton of time/money.
My Wookiee has his Action secondaries maxed, but I think they're capped at 500 and 550, so he always needs buffs or heals. I like playing my Wookiee though, he's a lot of fun, and people dig that he's a gigantic "party animal." lol
I would say for entertaining longetivity, go for a Rodian with maxed action and action secondaries. In general though, just pick the species that looks coolest to you and you'll have fun, which is the most important thing.

I am a Trandoshan, but my character never was going to be an entertainer in the first place. (TKM/Ranger). However I agree that it should be whatever you enjoy the most.

I'm so in with the Lekku thing - I think my most typed line in the game is "Let's talk some random crap in Lekku to wind <name> up".
One of my guildies took up smuggler so I'd stop annoying him with it
And yeah, as entertainers, I think we're the best (in an utterly biased way)
Am I going to worry about some numbers in my secondary stats? Well... did Lisa Simpson let her stubby fingers stop her playing Sax???? Exactly!

Yeah the Lekku thing is annoying, if you've got something to say about anyone, at least have the balls(if your a man) to say it to that persons face.

*Ub-ick Esava says something in a body language you don't understand ... but that middle finger gesture is familiar

Actually, we don't use it to slag off people, we use it to havelaugh with friends that we joke around with, the ones who type things like '/emote tugs sharply on Ka'nubis' Lekku'
And occaisionly, when a twi'lek dancer is getting the OTT affections of hormonal adolescent player, well... maybe I'll make the odd comment in Lekku...

Oh, I almost forgot, the imperial hat isn't working for entertainer's either...
