I don't love secrecy either, but in this case I kind of understand why the devs are keeping things under wraps. It's often easier to brainstorm if you don't have 100,000 players screaming every time you throw out an innovative idea. For this reason,NDAs are pretty standard practice in the game-development industry (with the notable exception of World of Warcraft).

I still don't have any definiteinfo on when the sandbox will start, and I doubt I'll get any over this holiday weekend. The devs still haven't told us tohand over the five names, so I'm still keeping the nomination booth open. In the meantime, I'll keep you posted as best I can.
