As a pure entertainer, the last thing I want to see is any reason what-so-ever to have to persue a FS slot of any kind. I feel FS effecting entertaining in any way is bogus and cheap beyond imagination. I just do not want to get sucked into this FS BS. All I want to do is concentrate onmy music and my songs, anything else is a distraction I do not need. I will deny services to any old man that gets near me.

And obviously, that's just fine for you. There's nothing wrong with that opinion at all.

But what about the Entertainer who DOES want Force Sensitivity? Maybe a Jedi/combat player to play with as a change from entertaining all the time?

That's just as valid of a viewpoint as yours.

Thanks for contributing

i agree with warryyr on this one.

some of us entertainers do want to see the end-game of the jedi profession, however, i plan on seeing this end game with the opened character slot that we get after we complete the FS quests and tree's... the HUGE downside to this, is that i will not only have to run through the grind with my primary entertainer character, i will have to do it all over AGAIN from the beggining(badges, old man visit, FS quests and village phases and the Uber-Grind 2.0)with the new character slot that i plan on taking all the way through jedi...

once i open the slot, i dont plan on taking my main character the rest of the way to jedi... im known as an entertainer and very social person, i plan on keeping that character that way...

As long as you can get in the village, you can open the heightened senses skilltree, just by converting musician exp. Each skilltree has four branches. A quest will open a branch, and you can only do one quest for each villagecycle (there are 4).

If you're amusician/entertainer/dancer who has no interest in an extra slot or being a jedi (???),go in there and convert your exp. Then wait for phase 4 to get the healing branch. It's sort of pointless for the bonus to mind healing, but maybe some people are going to do that (???).

If you're a pure entertainer and would like an extra slot or a jedi... Dump musician or dancer.See, you need six branches. You only get four inside Heightened Senses. You have to take up combat, probably (or crafting, scouting). That way you could get the four trees in heightened senses, and get 2 more from some other line. This goes for a pure crafter, or a pure doctor. The whole thing about being able to keep your template... thatwas a lie, bascially.

I guess a pure musician/dancer/entertainer will have to dump a profession, mastermedic for this phase, then have to dumpsome medic and take upsomething that will give combat/scout/crafting experience to get those other twotrees.

Somebody like myself, a musician/rifleman with a little bit of medic... I'm fine. Anybody else, I guess the devs want you to be me.

I disagree that we are fine if we are a hybrid entertainer. It doesn't matter to me that I can open 2 branches with novice medic, I still think it is wrong for us to have to go that far.

why do I feel this way? because we are healers too, we just heal the mind and spirit of people rather than thephysical damage.

Just because I can drop some stuff and I only have to waste 15 points on novice medic doesn't make this any better for me.

We should be recognized as healers in our own right, and we should be able to unlock some of the FS branches with our skills.

Don't the ravaged people of this force village need entertainment? Docs are all over the place buffing people and healing the wounded in teh force village, what about a place for people to go to relax, and recover mentally?

Have the devs completely abandoned the idea of mental and physical prepardness that makes this game so diverse?

Maybe I only want to have Force sensitive powers, maybe I want a full blown jedi, maybe I want to just feel like I am helping out the story by being a part of it... regardless of what I want, the devs need to acknoledge us as an equal profession with the others, or get rid of us altogether.

I for one, will not stand around and let them make me a second class citizen. I don't care if we have to have a "million entertainer march" onCoronet; something should be done.

Either we are valid or we are not, there is no fence riding with this issue. Either the devs treat us with the same respect and equality as everyone else, or they should replace us with npc bots people can listen to like in Jabba's palace.

I also feel the need to correct some mistakes from earlier posts:

We are penalized not just 3 weeks, but 6 weeks, since without hologrinding, it takes 6 phases to unlock and we will miss phase 1 twice in that time.

Second, yes we can unlock novice senses with our surplus music/entertaining xp, but we can't use get anything from it, it gives no skills and you don't even have to do a quest to earn it. you just trade in the xp.

Third, scouting xp is used for the senses tree, so they are screwed too, unless they are medics.

In closing, I want to ask you and the developers to think about what this situation would be like if it were in reverse: if the phase one senses quest called for novice musician or dancer or master entertainer and the medics got the shaft.

Can you even imagine the uproar if something like that were to happen? Why should we make it any different.

Hey Warryr,
Just so you know, master medic is not needed to get the entertainer bonuses in the FS trees. Please see the new FAQ I just posted .

Aleyo, you sure it's just novice Medic? If so, then that's good news indeed. Both my characters have at least Novice Medic, and that still leaves you room for MM/ME/MD.

I hope to know firsthand tonight. The Old Man visited me this morning.

Yes, it's only novice Medic, but no, you won't find out tonight.
The branch to unlock the bonuses for entertainers is only unlockable by quest in the fourth stage of the village, whereas the village is currently in the first stage. The branch that is unlockable now, in the first stage, does require master medic, but is not the branch that contains bonuses to Dance and Music wound healing (it is the 'persuasion' branch, I believe).
Congrats on your visit though! I'm spending time on Bria preparing for CCX, but hope to soon get my own visit upon returning to Tempest.

What if Master Doctors had to learn Master Entertainer to unlock their FS branch?

How would they feel?

Same situation - an elite profession needs to drop their skills to learn a non-elite mastery.

The situation sucks. Terrible design in all of this. Even Luke enjoyed himself with some entertainment by the Ewoks. Gimme a break.

They must've done jack squat for us because they'd already done the Entertainer Quests for us - so you know, can't give the Entertainers anything more than the token gesture every year. And, they STILL haven't implemented the rewards, so we'll have to take their word for it that the new song/dance won't have any bugs - because we're all so filled with faith in the Devs, that shouldn't be a problem...

I pulled this off the jedi forum, this is just the senses tree, but I will post all trees on the FS FAQ thread. Enjoy!

Phase –QUEST - BRANCH UNLOCKED- REWARD - requirement

Phase 1 – Medic/Survey- Aid Station - Heightened Senses: Persuasion - Unknown - MASTER MEDIC

Phase 2 – Medic/Survey – Construction Forman - Heightened Senses: Luck - Resource containers and an Inorganic or Organic survey tool - Unknown

Phase 3 – Medic/Survey – Construction Forman - Heightened Senses: Survey tree - Organics Survey Tool - Unknown

Phase 4 – Medic/Survey- Frenzied Doctor -Heightened Senses:Healing tree - Unknown - NOVICE MEDIC

Definitions of the intended benefits of the senses tree:

Persuasion (Phase 1) = Trick players/npc into thinking you are a faction you are not.

Luck (Phase 2) = Increase your chance to loot a good item.

Survey tree (Phase 3) = better surveying for resources.

Healing (Phase 4) = better entertainer healing (+5 per box at 4 boxes (+20 total) I think).

Some extra stats:

Number of branches Entertainers can open = 0

Number of branches entertainer xp can be traded for = 4 (all senses)

How much I think this stinks = ALOT

Hope this heps,

Cian Thurio
