Yep, that about covers it. The credit reward rating is, I think, 100-200 credits. The only time I ever do them is when I'm at my keyboard and just working on pounding out the Music or Dance xp, and don't feel like putting up with the headache of a crowded cantina. In both Tyrena and Doaba Guerfel, you can go to the Entertainer Mission terminal outside the cantina, minimize the resulting window (using ALT), go inside, bring the mission window back up, and keep refreshing missions until you get one for the cantina you're in. (Tyrena is <40m, DG is 300m due to buggy distance feedback). Considering the lame payout, I don't feel the least repentant in keeping the window up.

I can earn more credits in 10 minutes as a Swordsman than I can in 6 hours as a Musician. And I don't want to hear a word about tips from players beingour means of income. With the macro/AFKability of the performing professions, getting tips is a fluke, not standard operating proceedure. Especially before you hit Master and can offer buffs that people will give you 2,000 credits for.

I was trying to earn credits on Bloodfin to afford NPC training, since everyone in Coronet seems AFK and no one in Mos Eisley ever seems to be able to teach what I need. (And I don't have the credits to go bar-hopping.) I found I can earn way more just doing Artisan Crafting missions between Tyrena and Vreni Island...and I don't even have to have Novice Artisan. Just the Weapon, Droid and General Item Crafting Tool I need to make my instruments. I sort of expected this, so I made my starting profession Novice Artisan for the free crafting tool. I've since surrendered that skill.

If anyone really feels the need to do multiple gig missions, I did post directions in the Entertainer forum once.

Echinacea,

You scare me. I thought I was good at finding all the weird little things you can use. I remember being able to open the bazzar terminal inside the cantina at Coronet. That was fun, but having an ent mission terminal open? That's just silly.

The Tyrenna/Vreni run is an old favorite of mine. When I started Fragpuppie over a year ago I used it to get creds. I started him as artisan for the crafting tool, and got entertainer as soon as I had the 100 creds ABOVE shuttle fares for a crafting run. I got so good at it I could do 2 deliveries on one shuttle cycle (when they were 10 minutes). I kept artisan however, because it was nice to pass the time sampling while waiting. Oh that was long ago.

Whoa, yeah, you do an entertainer terminal / npc mission ONCE - just to prove to yourself they are as bad as you've heard, but to do a continuing number of them is not sensible. The entertainer profession has no benefit to doing those missions – 400 credits for 10 minutes work (likely 12 by the time you have selected the missions and longer if travelling) is not going to support a toon long term. The artisan missions from Deeja to Moenia (and vice versa) pay over 1,300 each. Doing one run there and back will pay for at least two hours worth of terminal missions and probably take less than 10 mins.
I know musician is a hard done by profession – trust me, I’m playing with a TC toon who took up doc as well – If I didn’t have a tkm alt for cash he’d be permanently broke (yes, for anyone who actually knows me I am well aware he’s broke because he refuses to accept payment for buffs / heals but he’s only once been offered a tip for entertainer services). The quests are a great taster of what it’s like to earn cash but so far very short lived – we’ll just have to wait for the Hutt casino and see what that's like.

If your that desperate for cash it's easier to do an artisan run, then go and actually enjoy being in the cantina and not have to constantly scroll a mission window.
