try talking to him again. Usually if there is no waypoint you didn't get the mission.

You can only have 2 active quests at the same time, either destroy/deliver or gig missions.

So check if you have any other quests active. Usually when you travel by shuttle your waypoints don't show again and you forgot often to turn then on again.

Hope it helps

Just wondering how much do these missions pay. I've never done one myself but I've seen 2 people come in and do them while in group and have gotten part of the money. One time it was a pretty large group and got like 250 credits the other time was about the same size group and got 53 credits. So I was just wondering how much on a normal basis do you get from a NCP gotten gig mission.

I've gotten around 500cr for the two times I've done them. The "ending" of the assignment is based on the amount of XP you gained, so flourish away! The mission ended for me at 839xp

I'd say this is pretty certain. I've had situations where Iaccidently lost focus on my ommni, stopping the music. My "gig macro"ran out(whichusually endswithin one or two flourish ticks of the mission completion), and I had to play for acouple more minutes. Even doing /changemusic seems to reset the counter.

I'm looking for some info on the musician quests that are currently in live, like what they involve and where to get the quests from. Any info would be greatly apriciated.

OK...I felt bad that I had never done one......

So I just did one.

It was dance, and I chose it cause it was local to the mission terminal.

The WP was outside the Coronet Hotel.

I went inside and danced randomly for people in the hotel.

EXACTLY 10 minutes later.....

"Mission Complete"

It paid 174 credits and no mission on the terminal paid over 200...even cross planet ones.

Well, Fragpuppie, you've done one gig mission, you've done 'em all. I did a few when they first went Live, many moons ago. Haven't done one since.

The only live entertainer musician quests are the ones available from Entertainer mission terminals and occasionally from NPCs.

They consist of a "Go to this wp and performper this random backstory that may make it interesting if it was anything other than a justification to go there and play". You are not told who to perform to or how longto perform. I've heard you just p[lay there for like 10-20 minutes and then you get a "success" and a payment. The payout for these missions is generally in the 2-400 credit range and barely covers your shuttle fees and in no way compensates for the time.

I have never completed one and I have only heard of musicians who have done so. The general opinion is that they are LAME and not worth the time. They have no intriguing content and the incentive is minimal.

The new quests on TC are somewhat better and do pay more, but they have been on TC for over 2 months and they are still not completely coded. They will not hit live til 10.2....whenever that is.

Yep, that about covers it. The credit reward rating is, I think, 100-200 credits. The only time I ever do them is when I'm at my keyboard and just working on pounding out the Music or Dance xp, and don't feel like putting up with the headache of a crowded cantina. In both Tyrena and Doaba Guerfel, you can go to the Entertainer Mission terminal outside the cantina, minimize the resulting window (using ALT), go inside, bring the mission window back up, and keep refreshing missions until you get one for the cantina you're in. (Tyrena is <40m, DG is 300m due to buggy distance feedback). Considering the lame payout, I don't feel the least repentant in keeping the window up.

I can earn more credits in 10 minutes as a Swordsman than I can in 6 hours as a Musician. And I don't want to hear a word about tips from players beingour means of income. With the macro/AFKability of the performing professions, getting tips is a fluke, not standard operating proceedure. Especially before you hit Master and can offer buffs that people will give you 2,000 credits for.

I was trying to earn credits on Bloodfin to afford NPC training, since everyone in Coronet seems AFK and no one in Mos Eisley ever seems to be able to teach what I need. (And I don't have the credits to go bar-hopping.) I found I can earn way more just doing Artisan Crafting missions between Tyrena and Vreni Island...and I don't even have to have Novice Artisan. Just the Weapon, Droid and General Item Crafting Tool I need to make my instruments. I sort of expected this, so I made my starting profession Novice Artisan for the free crafting tool. I've since surrendered that skill.

If anyone really feels the need to do multiple gig missions, I did post directions in the Entertainer forum once.

Silly really... takes about 5 mins to destroy a Janta/Mokk spawn and that's about 31k right there in your pocket.

10 minutes of dancing gives you.... less than 200 cr?

Pfft.

I tried the entertainer missions when they first came out. I think they were also broken then, because I swear I danced at the venue for at least 20 minutes before I got bored.
