Asa new Apprentice Musicianona Server, I find that a small macro keeps my toon moving, playing/dancing, and I get experience and heal experience. I get so busy talking to other performers and patrons to Cantina, I forget to hit the flourish keys on top of screen.

That is why I have a macro. If it gets boring, in tap a few extra flourishes into the line and hope I don't pull my action down too far.

If this recursiverthing means I'll have to write a longer macro, I'll do that. I'm not a drummer and my rhythm (and spelling) is non exixtant. I need the timing that a macro provides.

yes removing the /ui action toolbarSlotxx would not get rid of afk macroing. they would have to get rid of aliases and macros calling other macros. It gets to be a pain in that regards as there is a LOT of great uses for aliases.

I for one am glad they are looking to do it the right way, however, dismayed they have taken over 6 months of unattended play to figure out this should be a priority.

It's a priority after fixing JTL bugs, releasing Combat Update, fixing CU bugs, and whatever else they find to do in the meantime. A long time back at the beginning of this year, a Dev (JustG if I remember correctly) said he didn't think AFK macroing was healthy for the game. Slowly we've eked out a few more words from the Devs condemning AFK macroing, but nothing's been done.

Tyrant's posts are the closest we've gotten yet to actually having some action taken on the issue. I'm hoping this happens really fast after the CU. If it doesn't...well, you've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, and know when to run.
