And then there are those of us who stop performing and sit when we need to go AFK. And those of us who mastered the entire profession ATK and are damn proud of it. Even one I know of who gave up Musician to redo it completely ATK as 'pennance' for periodic AFK grinding the first time. /deepbow Scipionus.

If you're AFK with a nal or omni, you're just asking for trouble. Much like going AFK while overt = Another Free Kill.

I can tell you I have never been AFK while skill anamating. If I need to go AFK pressing stop music is easy,as istaking a pace forward. The day I play AFK is the day I hit the cancel button as it will mean I no longer have an interest in the game!

Arrogance is unavoidable. The trick is to find an arrogance you can live with

On the Nal moving by other people....

Because you "use" the nal while its in inventory to make it part of the world, then you target it and play it, others can target it and attempt to play it causing it to move to them. If they are far enough away from you it *poof* dissappears. This is a known issue and had been complained about since beta. This is not for Nals dropped in private cantinas or the static ones outside in starports and such, but only used from inventory. It sucks, and we basically have to deal with it and /report people who are being obnoxious with the "nal stealing"

My musician on Lowca has a Nalargon and 2 Omni Boxes placed on the stage of her cantina for decorations and has had trouble with jokers who think it's funny to hide them... starting from the first day I placed the Nalargon. I actually thought someone had managed to steal it and made a new one, only to have someone tell me that they had found it hidden behind one of the couches in a booth. I have had less trouble since the town died, but even now, every once in awhile, some cretin will come by and "steal" the instruments off the stage and hide them... and since they do this when I'm not even online, there is nothing I can do to stop them... I just wish I could find out who they are so I could ban them from my cantina. It is true that my display Nalargon does not go "poof" but that does not make it any the less annoying to have it moved.

Now the static ones in the NPC cities can't even be targeted.

there is a guy on eclipse who likes to do that to master musicians AFK grinding XP for FS while in ent group (boosting the XP) so they just stand there for hours... so lame...

While I don't condone this, nor do I indulge in such pettiness, I still find it a bit amusing. It's a risk you take by going AFK. Any MASTER Musician that goes AFK while playing a Nalargon or Omnidoesn't know enough about the profession to deserve the title.

No need to exaggrate AFK thing here. None of entertainers can tell that they did not go AFK even for once while playing or grinding.Heck, most of us do. Being AFK and Being AFK-Bot is so different things. So please calm down.

Wow . . . who is the one over reacting here? Try re-reading Roho's post without your AFK colored glasses on.

The difference between stepping away for 3 minutes for a bio break and grinding FS experience AFK are so large that your "exaggrate" statement makes zero sense.

I'm an ATK performer but Iwill step away if it is brief; if I'm going to be gone more than a couple of minutes or there is no one grouped with me to explain my absence even for a few seconds then I will stop and sit. That doesn't equate with spending hours playing EQ2 while my SWG toon animates away in the cantina to get cheap experience that I don't deserve because I'm not playing SWG.

I won't bother anyone butif you leave yourcharacter unattended for any period of time, particularly when they have something out that is as easy to manipulate as the nal or ommni, then you can't complain when something happens. I get particularly tickled when the band asks if everyone can play a particular song, gets no negative response, and changes the song then someone complains that they are stopped 10 minutes later when they finally take a look at the screen. Sorry, we asked, you should have been there.
