We did get a new song. The other songs were fine. Would be nice to get more new songs but after a year and a half waiting for this one I am not going to complain at the moment. My understanding from previous posts is songs are tricky to add due to copyright reasons. I hope they continue to add more new simmilar to how they added this one. I appreciate their work on this.

Because this thread is about musicians giving kudos for dancers, at least it began that way. Occasionally we have a thread about non musician stuff in the musician forum.

Yeah wonder why not one mentioned the new song before.

They've shown us exactly what behaviour, though childish, gets rewarded. We're just trying to communicate in a manner they understand and encourage.
And isn't this one of the saddest things? I know that it appears to be true though. I would really like to think that a reasonable discussion of pros and cons of changes would carry the most weight, but all too-often, it seems, it's just who cries the loudest. My best guess is that this is really just the most visible and noticable way that change comes about though. Well, I really hope so...
And yes, just to clarify my earlier post above - that was justmy reporting of what I've seen to be the general response of all this stuff from Dancers. Not my personal beefs or gripes or whatnot; the question was raised as to what dancers thought about all this, and that was this reporter's observations.
By the way... Western rocks!

The change in turning-while-emoting affected us too, didn't it? I kept trying to turn by /grinning and whatnot at a gig last night, and I kept failing. Also, I couldn't turn in third-person view, only in first-person.
I do like some of the new JTL emotes, though. /airguitar, hehe.

Not being able to turn in place is a huge drag IMHO. =( i really hope this gets fixed if it truley is a bug. *fingers crossed*
My girlfriend is a dancer and she was quite bummed when she realized this was no longer available. She does however like all the new flourishes.

Ack, the turning thing is happening to everyone? I thought I just messed something up on my keyboard. I have a workaround, though: turn on Chase Camera by using the keypad Delete/Period (.) key, move using the mouse, and then turn it off again when you're facing where you want.
I ended up having to do that in the Theed Cantina the other night.

Doing a /smile or /grin was still snapping my facing to the target as of last night. I haven't noticed any change with this part of things. Anyone else having any issues with /smile not turning your character to face your target?

I find that to turn on the spot I have to turn the Chase camera on by pressing the . (period) key on the numpad. this then allows me to rotate, but it moves the camera with me. If i then want to re-align my camera once my char is facing the right way, I turn it off again by pressing the . key on the numpad.
Its a workaround of sorts until they fix this annoying problem.

The turn on /smile, /grin, /wink all worked for me as recently as last night.

I'll also add my observation that the emote turning is working for me. We used it last night to get 4 of us dancing to surround and face a musician in the middle for some nice syncronized worship action.
My favorite method of changing my direction, though, is to zoom into first person view and face the camera where I want.

Which keys? I tried it with the right and left arrow key and I turned but I stopped playing also.
