If they fixed afk macro-mining, they can fix afk macro-entertaining.

i used to read this thread whole heartedly with much anticipation as to what the devs would do/ think... no i have come to the realization that they just dont give a cr@p about our proffessions (all ent ones) since they have never ever responded to one of them nor even our top issues untill 4 months later and then with totally lame answers that were way to generalized

The top issue addressing Musicians as of currently in my eyes is this.

Every musician, Every dancer, every entertainer is nearly identical. We all provide the same services, and we all provide the same healing. A Master Musician provides very little benefit over a novice, aside from faster healing. The purpose of registering yourself on the global map, makes me laugh. Why would anyone specifically seek me out, aside from for a buff? They would not seek me out to listen to my music because my quality of instrument and manner of healing is identical.

The only way to set yourself aside is by using skill enhancing equipment. Myoflex and increase to mind enhancement. I provide a slightly higher buff than most due to my increased mind enhancement ability, but again, this is not enough to consider me over someone closer.

I'm the only musician I've ever known that actually runs a studio, mass produces instruments and do my best to portray my profession as I see it should be. Using different sequences of flourishes by limiting off which ones I use at any given time allows me to add different "moods" to my songs. Such as a sad or a more uplifting version of ceremonial. But alas, its still the same song anyone can play.

My top request ... thing I would like to see more of. Musician and Dancer Quest items

I have been a musician since roughly week two, and a master for a month or more. It started as a dabble and has turned into my characters primary profession. I would love nothing more than to go through a storyline of musician missions. I would perform and do these for someone to actually receive an item of value. Such as, a new song, or a new instrument schematic. You can add certification to this instruments for everyone, but keep the schematics rare like Ris.

THIS would make people unique. THIS would make one person set themselves aside from someone else and would give entertainers something to really strive for. With the creation of the mission terminals its one step, but the creation of an entertainer theme park would be the next step.

Perhaps unique non-certificate instruments that use the same track as an existing item but a different look. Or perhaps use the certification from one instrument. Such as a bandfill certification for a different bass instrument. Still same sound, perhaps lower xp gain because its just for looks. But make it look unique. It'd give people that "What is that?" and draw more interest to an otherwise very fading interest in our profession.

I praise my friends I have that enjoy what I do with my music and my performance. I have tried further to form a theater group and do small one act plays, alas to no real avail. Its so difficult to move yourself forward in this game as an entertainer its odd that the Fatigue and Entertainer system was such a gem when it first started.

Also as a side note. I would like to see a new title for entertainers with multiple masteries. Such as Entertainer Musician or Entertainer Dancer

I look forward to the changes in the future. All my respect and best wishes,

1.Buffing time is to long. 8 Minutes for 1 Person or 20 Minutes for 19 Persons, thats is a to much.. a doc can buff faster an the buffs hold 2h . The other is let the 8 minutes be, but incrase the time that the buff hold (3 hours or so)

Can i buff in Camps ? I thought not. When we go on a Raid, mostly Docs can rebuff players but an entertainer not. It's a balacing issue to, if evry one just H A Buffed, all will kill with mind damage, if all stats damaged.. the combat will more interesting.

Actually there is a command /pauseMusic, I believe there is also /pauseDance however. These do not queue up as a flourish does, and often times occur two music rounds after you use it. Sometimes I've noted that it doesn't work. So I've tried: /pauseMusic 1, in which case it would work, I thought perhaps it was a time to pause but alas increased numbers don't seem to reflect a longer pause. I use this often times with other entertainers when playing bass to create a solo effect. Its very difficult to time as more often than not it will take two rounds to take effect.

I would actually like to see music/dancing use a queue similar to the combat queue and allow you to see your sequence of events. Thus dancers and musicians could choreograph better and perhaps make a leader be able to broadcast their queue to the rest of the group. It would require a bit of technological change which I'm not sure would be entirely possible. But would be interesting none the less.

Well hope that helps.
