Thread: You guys can buff the blue bar for other players
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=game_guides&message.id=44378
You can do mind buffs. It's kind of bugged, so read the thread above.
Hopefully this title caught your attention. This is important for you to know. My other thread where I had a question wasn't very successful, but my question has now been answered, and I wanted to pass this along in a constructive fashion.
I was playing my alt last night with my dancer friends (so I couldn't test the MM mind buff thing). But here is what I found with watching the dancers... you have to first, watch the dancer, then after a sufficient time, you stop watching the dancer (bring it up in the radial and just stop watching) This usually gets the ball rolling with the mind buffs. I don't think it works properly or at all, if you don't use the stop watch command.
I did stop watching then re-watching the dancer so I could see my mind go up while watching them. The sharp dancer in the group went on about the rates and specifics of how the mind buffs work, but without writing it down, It was a bit to hard to remember (haha, the irony).

I must have done it wrong, then, because none of my listeners reported a mind buff today when I asked them to /listen to me using radial. The one thing is, I'm not sure I clearly told them stop listening with the radial menu, so I'll try again. But *I* tried it -- tried listening to a musician and stopped with radial -- and I got no buff. Maybe the performer must be a Master?
Will experiment again tonight.
OK, I finally did get this to work. The key is to instruct your audience to start listening via radial, and then to STOP listening via radial after 5-15 minutes. The buff kicks in after they stop listening. Pretty cool -- buffs over 300 in my case. Actually, one audience member said they got the buff even if they just left the cantina, so maybe that works too.
I found that the buff lasted for twice as long as the listener listened. I've heard, though, that the maximum duration of the buff is 30 minutes. Anyone know?
Also, does this work in camps? I'll have to test that.
Ahhh, so musicians buff Willpower and Focus, while dancers buff Mind. Very cool. Have you had a chance to test this in a camp? If we could buff in the field, that'd be really nice.
Also, does the buffer have to bea Master Dancer or Master Musician?
NewJedi, i just played around with this with some master friends.
Dancers Buff mind.......we buff Focus and Willpower. Put em together and it works for all three
Also a medic friend does not have listen or watch on his radial menu because he is out of room on the dial, but he typed /watch and /lsten and they worked just fine.
Also, and this is interesting to me, you can duel AND watch and listen at the same time. so i think if you watch and listen while dueling and time it right you can really buff up at the right time and all three aspects of your mind will go charging back up. I have to check the timing on this but imagine having half of your mind left or even a quarter but you were listening and watching the entire duel then BLAMMO the blue shoots back up. This could be quite fun.
We did all of this in our brand new Entertainer Guild Hall
It works in camps. Not sure about the non-Master part but i believe that it has to do with the Music Mind Enhancement skill ( i mean what else is that skill for anyways?) So prolly a novice musician/dancer can buff but not as well as a Master.
